worst hospital ever !!!! they are killing my father in law and won't release him they are literally keeping him sedated because the nurses can't do there jobs !!! he is in the last stage of copd and needs to be home with family his last days but the hospital won't take him off sedation so he can tell them himself, he isn't any longer being treated for what he was originally admitted for and is now being accused of being an alcoholic which he isn't he can't even drink because it makes him sick and where he can't breath and they claim there sedation is due to d.t from alcohol this is so far from the truth and i've never seen a hospital be so abusive towards a patient in my life the nurses were so rough with him that his arm got busted open and now infected because they never even tended to the open wound until i told them to i am just so sick to my stomach i've heard of places like this but this is my first time experiencing this with an elderly loved one !!!

My physician ordered CT scan at approx. 10 am for possibility of blood clots due to a recent surgery. Was told at imaging I would receive a call that day to do it as my Dr. Ordered STAT. I'm home at 6 pm and never received a call. I guess I'll stay up all night worrying whether I'll throw a clot. Jesus people.....do better.

I knew nothing of this Hospital when I was visiting in Wilkesboro area. I ended up having to go to the emergency room like at 8:30 at night. I can't even tell you how amazing that ER was . The team that came in to take care of me, assess me right away, they knew exactly how to put an NG tube me without causing so much pain. They kept me comfortable. I got my meds and they got me right in for a CT scan. The CT scan showed that I had a #Bowel obstruction. The doctor came in we talked about what they needed to do to help me get better. Around 2 AM I went up to the second floor, and I was met with a wonderful staff, Leslie who normally works days, was working nights, she got me all settled and made sure I had my pain meds .The next morning, Dr. Mayer came in and he went over what needed to be done , so I had the NG tube in for a little over 24 hours and then they sent me down X-ray with contrast dye. The x-ray department treated me with respect the were all very caring and loving. Dr. Patel was amazing.. He communicated with my surgeon at UNC Rex and my PCP. They knew I was there on vacation with my family and did everything they could to get me better so I could go home .. The nursing staff on the second floor took very good care of me .. one thing I liked about the staff as they were all permanent staff , they had worked on that floor along time , they took care of each other's patients.. I live in Wilmington NC where going to the ER in Novant is a nightmare. The nurses are transit nurses, very few have been there along time . The ER wait can be 4-7 hrs to see Dr. Wilkesboro Has a hidden treasure with this hospital.. I am truly thankful if this had to happen to me it happened in Wilkesboro .. NC .. I give this hospital five stars.

The entire staff, including Nurses and Doctors were just amazing when I brought my wife Mary in for treatment on Saturday July 26th at 230am. They did a great job in helping her. Dave Emerick.

Abaolutely not. Worst hospital I've ever been to, the rooms are disgusting, trash was on the floor, needle caps, gloves, and this was when i first entered the room, then the way the doctor handled my care. I have never seen such incompetence from a doctor before. Make the drive to a different hospital.
