Dr Casciello is one of those doctors that seem to be a rare find lately, he genuinely cares and listens to his patients and has compassion along with providing excellent clinical care

A Disappointing Experience at CarolinaEast Heart Center As a long-term patient of CarolinaEast Heart Center, along with my entire family, I've been under Dr. Casciello's care for years. We're not new faces in this practice, which makes my recent experience particularly disheartening. A few weeks ago, I had a routine electrocardiogram at the center. The technician who performed the exam was exceptional--professional, friendly, and clearly skilled at her job. She assured me the results would be available on MyChart within 48 hours. Nearly two weeks passed without any results appearing on MyChart. I remained patient, assuming I'd receive the information during my scheduled follow-up appointment. However, that appointment proved equally frustrating. On the day of my follow-up, I had a dental appointment at 10:00 AM nearby. When I realized my dental work was taking longer than expected, I called CarolinaEast Heart Center at 12:30 PM to inform them of a potential slight delay. The receptionist advised that I needed to arrive within 15 minutes of my scheduled time. After finishing at the dentist at 1:10 PM, I rushed to the heart center. Upon arrival, I was informed that because I was two minutes beyond the 15-minute grace period, they wouldn't see me. When I explained that I simply wanted to receive my test results from the earlier electrocardiogram, I was asked to wait, only to be told they couldn't release that information to me. Instead, they promised someone would call. Two major issues stand out from this experience. First, the failure to upload my test results to MyChart as promised--while oversights happen, this shouldn't be the norm. Second, the rigid enforcement of a timing policy that allowed no flexibility for a long-standing patient who had called well in advance about a legitimate delay. These experiences suggest a concerning trend: CarolinaEast Heart Center appears to have outgrown its ability to provide the personalized care that once distinguished it. The practice seems to have sacrificed the human element of healthcare--understanding, flexibility, and appreciation for loyal patients--in favor of rigid policies and procedures. I hope the center's management will reflect on this feedback and consider whether their current practices truly align with their mission of patient care. Quality healthcare requires not just medical expertise, but also compassion and reasonable accommodation for patients' circumstances. As I sit in the parking lot writing this review, I'm watching an endless stream of cars pulling in and out--a stark contrast to the more measured pace of years past. Perhaps the costs associated with this new building and bigger parking lot has to be justified? While growth is typically a sign of success, in this case it seems to have come at the cost of the personalized care that once made this practice special. Perhaps it's time for the center to consider whether bigger necessarily means better.

We have nothing but good things to say about this group. Devin Smith, the nurse practitioner, is very knowledgeable and ready to answer all questions. The office is very efficient at setting up procedures and answering questions on line.

I'm very happy with DR Casciello and when he's not there Aleta Bridges PA fills in and does a great job to. Dr C's nurse La Rue Robinson does a super job too. With Rx or what ever I need she does it quickly and happy to help. A great nurse is very important and LaRue is that nurse. It's a good comfort knowing that these medicial people do a great job and that we know that we will be treated well. The office staff is always happy and eager to help me with any of my needs. They make sure that appointments are scheduled as close together as is possible. Dr C and his staff are very knowledgable and I always know that I will get the best medicine and treatments. My wife and I are very happy to have this family to keep our medical needs the very best
