Although I do not doubt Dr. Seagle' s ability as a cardiologist, I have MANY questions about his departure from Morganton. Specifically why no one from his office informed his 91 year old patient with heart problems that he was leaving prior to making him an appointment for yesterday! He was taken to scheduled appointment by his son, only to find an empty parking lot and a locked door. The phone number called connected him to a cardiology place in Lenoir, where he was told Dr. Seagle was now "renting" a space to see patients only on Wednesdays. No letter, no phone call, NOTHING to indicate to his patient that he was no longer going to be there. The receptionist in Lenoir stated he wasn't the first of his Morganton patients to be blindsided like this. So, his son advised that he would need to take him to a local cardiologist due to his poor health and mobility issues, so when could he pick up his Dad's file (6 years worth) and where? He was told they do not have his records and that people were notified they had until the end of March to get those. He was NEVER notified! Not by letter and not by phone. I truly hope that his records are still in that locked office building here in Morganton but yes, that is how a 91 year old patient of six years was treated.

Unprofessional staff especially office manager/scheduler. If her attitude is a reflection of this office overall, my suggestion is to go elsewhere. Edit-- Addressing the response to my direct, transparent post (made under my name with my photo); the attitude presented through the response is demonstrative of the negativity and unprofessionalism of this staffer specifically, and by extension the office. Any response by a competent office manager would have included acknowledgment of the potential customer's grievance (obviously a negative experience), followed by a willingness to address and overcome the negativity. Instead, we see this office manager immediately resort to attacking the customer, and "defending" their actions via a hyperbolic rant bordering on a HIPPA infraction. To ALL the Karens out there..... I stand by my initial post, " Unprofessional staff especially office manager/scheduler. If her attitude is a reflection of this office overall, my suggestion is to go elsewhere."
