Atrium Health Kannapolis

My 2 year old daughter fell and gashed her head open in our home. We took her to this ER and within 10 minutes they got us back. The nurses and NP all had good bedside manner and walked us through everything they were going to do. This is the first time we've ever had to take our child to the ER and it was very scary, but everyone made it as pleasant as it could be. I don't remember the names of who helped us but we are very thankful! My daughter left with a few stitches and a stuffed animal giraffe!

Second time I've been here with my kids. There is a nurse named Haley who is a triage nurse. Second time I've delt with her. She is just nasty and speaks to you like your stupid. She only changed up when she realized I was getting irritated. Your job is to help and make people feel better and she made me feel uncomfortable. I will never come here again.

I brought my 2 yr old on a Friday night, there was maybe 10 other people in the waiting area. They were able to help my toddler and we were there a total of 2 ish hours. Dr. Rashid was very gentle and has wonderful bedside manner, and the nurses and medical assistants were all very kind. Facility was very clean and waiting area had a kid space.

Came here the other day. I have stage 2 degenerative disc disease and spinal sclerosis. I have two ruptured disc and two disc that are completely gone. I was here all of ten minutes. Very fast visit. I had worked all night long the night before (I'm a manager and was training two of my new third shift employees and I had a corporate visit the next morning) when my boss arrived at my store around 7:30 am I was in so much pain I was crying hysterically and couldn't hardly move. I couldn't do anything but cry. He told me to go into my office and lay flat on my back ( we have cement floors that stay cold) he called my mother ( who also is a store manager with 7eleven) who works one exit up from my store and he had her to come get me to take me to the er. When she got there they both loaded me up into her car and she drove me to lane st. The dr didn't care at all! They tapped on my knee cap and asked me what happened. They prescribed me meds that I told them didn't help and I didn't want meds. I wanted help and answers!!! They didn't give me a X-ray they didn't give a mri. They didn't even feel my back after telling them multiple time that I had a huge knot on my lower back and I believed that I had ruptured yet again another disc. They didn't care. They released me and I was out within ten minutes. Hurting worse than I did when I had first gotten there. They did give me a steroid shot which also didn't help at all. It literally just burned my entire arm. They treated me as if I was there seeking pain medication. I could care less about pain meds! I am 29 years old with 3 young children and I'm the sole provider for my family I need help and relief to continue caring for my family and to continue working! I've yet to revive any real help. Before too much longer I'm scared I'll be wheelchair bound because the medical field is nothing but a joke now' they just want to charge your insurance and send you home! It's pathetic and against the hypocritical oath! You should be ashamed atrium health!!!

Great experience! My sister came in for stomach issues and her care team was top notch, she was blessed for sure. Daniel her nurse, Travis her doctor, valeria nurse, and Kathy the ultrasound tech! Super nice. Huge shoutout to Daniel for making us feel so welcomed and assured! This hospital is NOTHING compared to Salisbury or even charlotte, Novant in general honestly. Even checking in the lady at the front desk was so sweet!
