I can only really give a review on the labor and delivery. I had a great experience! Anna, Lauren, and Olivia were exceptional. Brooke gives the best IV ever - no pain! The best nurses I have ever had. Each one had different strengths that I appreciated so much. The hospital is older but it felt clean which as mom I really appreciate.

When I was younger, a really bad hospital stay for cancer surgery left me severely traumatized against any medical facilities. It was so bad I to this day need to take a Xanax just to avoid fainting while getting blood drawn or an IV placed. I've been in terrible health many times in my life and have seen the inside of many ER facilities, most of them uncomfortable, lonely, impersonal, and generally fine with making me wait hours to get treatment. Pardee has been the exception. I've been in their ER twice, and both times I've been seen promptly, given pain and distress mitigation quickly, and been treated with dignity but also compassion. I have difficult veins so they went straight to getting an ultrasound to assist with it so they wouldn't have to stick me too much and trigger my fainting; everywhere else would just force it. The last time I was in for severe stomach pain and they very promptly brought me medicine to relieve the pain. I've literally started experiencing less trauma responses to hospitals since my visits, because I don't see their ER as a place of suffering, I see it as a place of relief and being taken care of. In contrast, Advent is less than 5 minutes from my house but we drive all the way to Pardee. The Advent ER sent me home with ineffectual medicine, without testing me, after 4 hours in a cold room without seeing anyone, and missed that I was having a hypertensive crisis. Didn't even take my blood pressure. I can't stress enough how much better Pardee has been. Literally easing my PTSD has to count for something.

I went to Pardee hospital early one morning. No one was in the waiting room. I had blood all over me. I had to wait 50 minutes before they even saw me because they had to get the money, right!!!!! They like to keep the air conditioning really cranked up too I guess so they can make you sicker and there's more money in that!! Unfortunately, I went there during the day another time part of my illness and suffering was waiting for hours in that waiting room. I saw people walk out after a while. Why wait for hours? They don't wanna hire extra doctors -----costs too much money!!!!! Think of all the foul mouthed things I could say about my experience at pardee hospital, that's how I feel!!! Furthermore, they can't hold a candle to Adventhealth hospital formally called Park Ridge!!!

I had very positive CT scan and day surgery experiences here (separate days). All the staff were very welcoming, comforting and attentive. I never had a long wait and the nurses checked in on me regularly. One was next to me the entire time post-op. Doctors all had a great bedside manner and were also attentive. I never felt rushed. Thank you for making a scary experience less intimidating.

My husband arrived here via EMS services with a heart attack in progress. Exceptional coordination with Cardiac Cath unit and EMS staff- he was immediately prepped for Cardiac Cath procedure which was completed less than an hour of his arrival. He was immediately transported to the ICU unit where for the next 36 received exemplary care. The most pleasant surprise was the level of care when he was transferred to a regular medical bed. While the hospital is older and in need of physical updating, this can be overlooked by the level of care. I have been in many hospitals throughout the country and can honestly say this was the best care I have ever received. Small note- for family members staying overnight there are few food options available in the evening.
