We chose the Garner location due to it being one of the shorter wait times. My daughter needed a stich or two in the middle of the night. Receptionist was amazing. The triage MSN working was okay. We got taken to our hall bed shortly after triage. Upon coming up to our hall bed, that pillow was positioned just like this picture. The RN grabbed it, flipped it around and sat my child on that bed. I flipped it back over to see this. Already feeling like i made mistakes coming to a wake med. Sat there for about an hour and nobody ever came to us. You're a hospital, you should probably follow the sanitation protocols put forth by whomever. My child was put on a bed with someone else's bodily fluids. That is when i should've left.
Several staff at the computers talking, flirting, etc. The mobile registration lady never came to us, which i assume was what we were truly waiting for in order to be seen. Big insurance and all.
I would go to a UNC hospital or a Duke hospital before i go back to any wake med facility. Especially this one.

What a great facility. My husband recently had 3 separate visits here. Each time the staff were kind and very helpful - even when it was very busy. We felt he was in good hands here. They did a great job transporting him down to big Wake Med when he needed surgery. The facility is very clean and taken care of. The staff are all attentive and compassionate. His nurse, Isabella, was so kind to him. Dr. Manring was great at diagnosing the problem and in getting him sent out to a surgeon. Thank you all for your help.

If I could give 0 stars and slap them in the face I would. I was in a car accident and was brought to that location. They had me there for 4 hours the whole time and knew they couldn't even help me. They didn't care at all they are sitting around laughing with their phones. I can't believe this wake med is such an embarrassment. It is nothing like the big brother Wake med on new Bern ave. They had no doctors even there. They kept lying and hiding things. Biggest waste of my time ever. Do not put yourself inside this embarrassment. Save time and money. Go to the real wake med. You will actually have stuff done.
Now I'm looking over my medical records from my visit with you guys. Straight up biggest lie I have ever seen. I have witness to back me up and you guys are lying so hard to cover your butts. It is messing me up with insurance from my car accident. I am going to fight and get this changed. That is a lie because I have been to wake med on new Bern ave. That is a good one I was there for 4 months in the past. The garner location is just a straight up embarrassment. Your nursing staff was not doing anything. They just sit around and laugh at their phones. I had to call my nurse like a dog. I was so pissed off. I was asking questions and I was not getting anything. My progress note in my medical records is such a lie. I need it fixed and changed. Maybe train people to do a better job. I hate to be rude but you just have no idea how stressful this bullcrap is. The fact it's all just you guys trying to cover your butt.

I have faced DISCRIMINATION at this location because of my race. As a member of the Latino community, I came here for testing and paid upfront, but I was refused service because the paperwork only included my first and last name. The staff insisted that I include my second last name, which I never use.
I have been to many FastMed screenings where I've only needed to provide my first and last name legally, so this was frustrating. The staff tried to speak down to me, which has prompted me to consider legal action against this location because I know I have been discriminated against.
There was hardly any business while I was there, and it took an hour just to be seen. Additionally, the staff did not appear friendly; they had expressions that suggested they disliked their jobs. If we are paying them to work, why are they in business? Both the doctor and the nurse treated me unfairly for standing up for myself.
Assistant doctor- Sydney
Doctor- Mike should apologize to me and not refuse a paid service!! I will pursue a litigation against this location.

Our daughter was a passenger in a car accident and we took her here to be evaluated. We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seen. Once we were in the nice private rooms in the emergency department she was cared for very well. Including x rays. My only suggestion is possibly a coffee maker or place to get snacks for visitors with patients. It was early in the am and a very sweet nurse had mercy on me and got me coffee from nursing station. I really appreciated that since I ran out of the house from being woke up when I was informed our daughter was hurt in a car accident on the way to school. It was a very stressful event and we were there a couple hours. Best cup of coffee ever! Thank you. Lol Thank you for the great care too.
