Dr. Roshan Parikh barred the daughter of an 87 year old patient from his facility when the daughter, who was the only caregiver for her mother, was asking Dr. Parikh for a referral for an in-home health aid to help with the care of her elderly mother. When the daughter got mad about not being given the in-home health aid referral, Doctor Parikh told the daughter that her mother can make her own decisions and barred the daughter from the facility. Eventually her mother had to be placed into a nursing home facility due to insufficient caregiver availability. Her mother died in the facility due to the nursing home's neglect. Don't allow your elderly parent to go to this doctor.
