Patient Reviews

Patient

I've had two appointments scheduled at this office. The appoints were scheduled a month in advance a week apart. Both times the office rescheduled my appointment the day of . The first time they told me the room was too small to do the test in. The second time they told me the machine was broken for a stress test. As an Operation's manager that has worked in the clinical setting, I find this very troubling. When I'm there the staff seems very nice, but getting there is the problem.

Patient

The doctor was running almost an hour and a half behind and was somehow completely unaware. I waited 50 minutes to have my vitals checked, was then sent back to the main waiting room for 15 minutes before being taken to an exam room to wait an additional 15 minutes before being taken to the doctor's office. It was odd and pointless to wait in an exam room. The front staff should tell patients as a courtesy anytime the doctor is running more than 15 minutes behind schedule. They should offer patients the option to reschedule if the doctor is behind 20/30 minutes or more. The office is outdated & areas needed repair.

Patient

They are incapable of providing the most basic information regarding pre procedure and device costs. Billing is passed on to a third party "agency" and was 10x what I was quoted.

★★★★★

5 stars from me!! My former doc with Wake Med Cardiology was Dr John Kelly who is retiring, so I changed my location to Cary, which is near our home. My NEW doc is Dr Chan. He is awesome!! He is friendly, personable and above all...he listens! Yay! The fact that he is very intelligent is a bonus!! Thank you Dr Chan for making my first visit a success!! Almost forgot...his nurse is awesome too! Adorable!! And office staff was also very friendly and helpful, especially Kristie!!

Read this if you identify as fat/living in a larger body Multiple questionable things occurred during my first (and last) office visit, but I'll focus on my zero star rating of fatphobia awareness. I said nothing about weight while booking or during my appointment, but the doctor said they were required to ask if I would consider bariatric surgery. Shame on you, WakeMed. This review does not reflect my experience with the ECHO tech, who was patient with me as I came in with a migraine.
