Patient
Sadly Google does not allow one to split a review. If I could I would give the process of scheduling negative stars. It was incredibly frustrating and is so archaic as to cause one to question the competence of the whole organization. From my experience with phone scheduling I felt like I was in an adversarial relationship and seriously considered canceling my appointment and looking elsewhere for care. But my pre-procedure interview with a gentlemen named Robert was soothing. He listened to me, allowed me to rant and vent about my scheduling experience and answered all of my questions. He was a gem with the patience of a saint as were all of the staff with whom I interacted on the day of the procedure. I can't remember all of their names but Colleen and the RN and the individual who administered the IV injections were fabulous. I have found at Stony Brook University medical facilities that the frontline medical staff are incredible, caring, compassionate, and very competent. The administrative staff leave much to be desired. Sadly this has been the case since time immemorial.
