Dr Stein cares for you as a patient and a person and is very thorough. 7 years ago he reviewed my trauma xrays and found that the radiologist had missed an obvious broken clavicle. He tends to run late because he takes so much time with his patients

Dr. Stein is a wonderful physician. He is smart, compassionate, caring and sweet. He doesn't rush through the visit and he listens to everything you say. He knows the right questions to ask and gives advice in a calming non-intimidating way. Everyone in his office from the front desk to his nurse are so delightful that it makes "going to the doctor" a pleasure.

Dr. Stein is the most thorough, helpful, and truthful primary physician I have ever been to. Having multiple health issues, he juggles them all, and will go out of the way to get answers. Definitely one of the best.

"If you want a good physician who truly cares about you and your well being and not just your copay. Dr Stein is NOT who you are looking for. He tries to push antidepressants and medication, doesn't listen to his patients requests for certain tests would rather just prescribe or see you again to bill insurance. He and his staff were incredibly unprofessional and just down right rude at times. Highly suggest going else where."

I am a 61 year old cancer patient. Stony Brook has so many wonderful doctors, unfortunately Dr Stein is not one of them. Find another PCP like Dr Gill.
