Patient Reviews

Patient

Very disappointing experience. My mother had an appointment with Dr. Lee after being referred by both her rheumatologist and primary care physician due to high blood pressure and multiple abnormal EKGs. She also has an autoimmune disorder, which makes proper cardiac evaluation especially important. Unfortunately, Dr. Lee showed little interest in addressing her concerns and did not take the time to discuss her condition. At one point, he even instructed his nurse to tell my mother to go home, without providing reassurance, explanation, or a plan of care. This experience was extremely discouraging. While this may have been just another patient to him, this is a real person whose health could be at serious risk for heart attack or stroke. We expected professionalism, attentiveness, and compassion, and received none. My mother will be seeking care from another cardiologist who takes patients and their concerns seriously.

My 80-year-old uncle had a medically necessary appointment and, despite his best efforts, arrived 20 minutes late. He lives alone, does not drive, and depends on others to help him get to appointments. The office has a 15-minute grace period, and while that may seem reasonable in many cases, anyone with compassion would recognize that older adults often face extra challenges in getting places on time. Instead of showing understanding, the staff told him he was too late and refused to see him. The next available appointment was over six weeks away. For an elderly patient with a significant medical history, this lack of empathy is unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I tried to call the office 6 minutes before closing, they had already stopped answering their phones and it went straight to a recording. For an office that enforces a rigid five-minute window, they certainly don't hold themselves to the same standard when it comes to serving their patients. While I recognize this review is not a reflection on Dr. Lee's medical abilities, it is a reflection on his staff. Disappointingly, he will be affected by a negative review because of their actions. I truly hope this encourages Dr. Lee to speak with his team about the importance of compassion and care -- especially when it comes to serving the elderly population. It's deeply concerning that a healthcare office, where compassion should be a core value, could dismiss an elderly patient so easily.

Dr. Lee is the best doctor I've ever known. He is a kind doctor. . He always explains about my condition and the treatment plan that I need to hear about in detail, and performs good treatments. He comforts me all the times and when needed, he prescribes medication for me in a timely manner. I can tell/feel that he concerns and cares about his patients. He is a very caring person. Thanks for your professionalism, Dr. Lee.

Having moved away from the area, I am no longer his patient, but wish I still was ! Dr Lee is the very best kind of doctor. He listens to all your issues and tries to get to the root of your troubles. If I could give him 1000 stars I would.
