NYU Langone Medical Associates--Riverhead

Dr. Verona Young, takes the time to listen and discuss what your problems are, she is very through and took the time to explain my blood test results. Staff is very friendly and professional. I really appreciate the technology aspect with the patient portal. I love having all of my doctors on the same network, they talk to each other and my overall health and wellness are better. My only issue is that the follow up has to be initiated by me. I find that although they are really quick with putting my results in my patient portal which is greatly appreciated they often lack follow-up. Most of the results are super easy to decipher when reviewing on the portal, they need to be explained by a professional and I have found that I have had to request a follow up visit instead of the office reaching out to schedule a phone call with the physician or the physician adding a note in my portal to say all is good or please call the office to schedule a follow-up to discuss your results. I have found this to be an ongoing concern.

Horrible. Avoid like a plague. They tell you to use the portal or call for medicine refills and no one responds

The security guard is exceptional. He is always cheerful and kind.

Excellent front desk. Capable and Friendly. Lisa is always especially helpful but all are good. Nurses are always friendly, careful and helpful. Most of my Dr.s are in this group so the information sharing is seamless, which is a relief. I've called for last minute appointments and labwork and they always accommodate.

NYU is fantastic, staff are great and care is great. I have one suggestion for this office though(Riverhead).. since there are so many different types of doctors here, there REALLY should be a side dedicated to NON SICK visits like bloodwork etc... and a side for Sick visits. Theres no reason why I should have to sit next to a sick person/child when I am just getting bloodwork and potentially bring something home to my family.
