Rohan Dilip Bhansali, MD

Until now Dr Bhansali was my husband's cardiologist and seemed very competernt and caring. 2 weeks ago my husband was admitted to the er with shortness of breath and changesnin his echocardiogram. Dr Bhansali's partner did an angiogram the next afternoon and we were told his heart is fine and no clots or blockages. My husband still was complaining of shortness of breath. They sent us home without anyme examing my husband any further. A couple of days later still not feeling well we went to see a pulmonologist who didnt like the symptoms or that my husbands bnp was 10 times the normal amount. The pulmonologist had us get a catscan of his lungs and it showed a large pulmonary embolism in the right lung as well as a few smaller ones. My husband was rushed by ambulance to North shore manhasset and put on iv blood thinners for 3 days and told he was a very lucky man. Then after 3 days he went hime on oral medication. When i spoke to dr bhansali and asked him how come he didnt have someone check my husbands lungs in the hospital when he realized it wasnt his heart, he said "we dont do that". I said maybe you change the way you do things because this could have been fatal.Needless to say my husband will no longer be his patient.

Superb cardiologist who is an excellent diagnostician, thorough and explains his treatment thought process well. He is patient, understanding and a pleasure to be under his care. Enthusiastically recommend.

Without Dr.Bhansali I would not be here to write this review . I've been a patient since 2005 even after moving out of New York I still use him . What more can I say other than I highly recommend him for your cardiac care !

I've been seeing Dr Bhansali for a while now he is and excellent Doctor! He's very knowledgeable, caring, understanding and he listens to His patients and gives great advice and care.
