Doctor Diamond exemplies this and more based on my family's experience. He is my father's cardiologist and has subsequently expanded to become our family doctor of choice. My father is a long-time patient with a unique cardiac profile (i.e. WPW) and he recently underwent a big surgery that required a large open incision to remove a highly inflammed gall bladder. It was a difficult time for my family to endure as it was his first major surgery after suffering severe gall bladder attacks. Doctor Diamond took the time out of his busy schedule to visit him personally at the hospital and give him comfort and emotional support. At that moment, to be able to witness how much that visit meant to my father was a memorable moment for me. Both post and pre-surgery, he was thorough in his care and partnered very closely with the surgeon to ensure she had all the updates necessary to help faciliate and support my father's treatment plan.
