Patient
I went to Dr. Ling to try and get some help managing symptoms from my Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome which has been worsening and become harder to manage. She spoke with me for 10 minutes at the most and left me with "wear compression stockings" and no other help besides a follow up in one year and a note. I've heard that advice many times before and tried to explain that nothing has been consistently helping me manage my symptoms but she did not offer any treatment options. After mentioning how I've been struggling to work because of the severity of my symptoms she did write a note for some accommodations which I greatly appreciated. My job asked for some more formal paperwork to elaborate on the note she wrote and she refused to write it because she "didn't think I needed them." I also went there with my service dog who was clearly labeled as a cardiac alert dog which I explained helps alert before syncope episodes and she refused to acknowledge that my condition impacts my daily life and that certain symptoms can be mitigated by my service dogs tasks (this paperwork was also for my job as the paperwork I have now is for some other disabilities and they wanted to know how to best accommodate me by getting paperwork regarding my POTS). They refused to see me again and refused to elaborate on the accommodations note for my job despite her writing the note to begin with. I spoke many times with Robin and she was extremely rude to both me and my care manager who tried to advocate on my behalf. She consistently cut me off as I was speaking and then proceeded to hang up on me refusing help insisting i see psychiatry (I'm already established with a psychiatrist and therapist). Based on my experience I would not recommend going to this office especially if you have a chronic condition.
