Dr. Derek Sun performed his undergraduate studies in Shanghai, China, earning a Bachelor's degree in chemistry. After coming to the United States to study, Dr. Derek Sun received a Ph.D in physiology from University of Michigan in 1999. He went on to receive his M.D. from Drexel University in 2003. Dr. Derek Sun completed his internal medicine residency training at George Washington University in 2003. He then completed a fellowship in cardiology at University of Florida in 2009. Dr. Derek Sun has worked as an attending cardiologist at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY.
Dr. Derek Sun is a board certified cardiologist and board certified Internal Medicine Physician.

However, due to the excellent quality of service that the doctor and the wonderful staff provides has made the situation much easier and manageable, the care and compassion they have showed is much appreciated, specially Yunilsa and Johnisia, thank you very much for your kindness!
