Capital Bariatrics, A Southwestern Vermont Health Care practice

I've been trying to contact them for two weeks! I've been calling literally every business day and leave messages but they never call back. I'm hoping leaving a review might help.

Dr. Carol Santoro is such a wonderful Nutritionist. She has helped me so much these past few years with trying to stay on track. She is always giving me such great ideas and new things to try. If you are looking for a great M.D. in Nutrition, I would highly recommend her!

I just recently got referred to Capital Bariatrics in May 2023 for a revision of my bariatric surgery from 2010 as I was experiencing not so good office /doctor experience at another practice I was seeing. From day 1 of coming to Capital Bariatrics it has been nothing but smiles and support and comfort. The knowledge base of the entire team is fantastic and the fact that they don't shame you but rather take the time to understand you as a person and your lifestyle to help you be successful is amazing. Every single person I have encountered in this practice is phenomenal. The first time I met Dr. McDonald he really made me comfortable and reminded me of my 1st doctor back in 2010 and from then on it just got better and better each time I step into that door. Thank you so much for being such a supportive and caring practice.

UPDATED KRISTIN IS NOT A NURSE, AND GOES OUTSIDE SCOPE OF PRACTICE. DR. MCDONALD IS CURRENTLY BEING SUED FIR LEAVING TOOLS INSIDE A PERSON. HIS EX PARTNER FROM ANOTHER FACILITY CONFRIMED THIS. HE REFUSE TO SEE ME AFTER MULTIPLE ER VISITS. I HAD TO HAVE AN EMERGENCY SURGERY IN WHICH HIS DID EX PARTNER (WAY BETTER BED SIDE MANNER AND TREATS HOSPITAL STAFF NICELY UNLIKE MCDONALD. HIS EXPARTNER SAID HOW HE FIXES OF DR. MCDONALD EMERGENCY CASES. MULTIPLE Surgery CASES. Updated from 5 stars to 2 stars. Read why........After my husband spoke with his with his nurse, Kristin about my bowel obstruction and the unprofessionalism she displays and is straightup rude, more often than not. No returned calls, and nothing but major attitude by his nurse. I have a BOWEL OBSTRUCTION, and she said well what do you want us to do about it. I dunno have the doctor calls us back, A bowel obstruction is the BIGGEST risk, and Complications from gastric bypass and can be fatal. I was told I should not get a call back because there's nothing they should do about it, accordingto nurse Kristinon 1/16/23. A simple call back isn't a hard task. I did have a few questions, which WILL never get answered, because she admitted she doesn't give the doctor messages. At the end of my husband nasty experience with his nurse Kristin, she SAID Dr.Mcdonald would call us back. My guess is she "fotgot" to tell him, we're still waiting on that call back.. She is killing his PracticeVery unfortunate, because I think highly or Dr. Mcdonald, but his nurse is going to push people away. I wouldn't recommend this office, until there's a new nurse there. Needless to say I ended up admitted to AMC for a bowel obstruction. But it no big deal according to nurse Kristin.

The doctors and the dietician's here are fantastic! They really take the time to be with their patient's and make sure that you understand what they are talking to you about.
