I visited this place today October 24, 2025, if I could give a negative review, I would do exactly. This provider got so much ego, they would not even apologize after my insurance called and told them I do not have a deductible/co-pay. Instead of focusing on taking care of customers, they value money over patients. So my insurance company had a glitch on my co-pay/deductible and so it was showing on there as I owe $100. I explained to them that no, the insurance is fixing it, I had ENT appt, I explained it to them and they said incase that I owe, they will send me a bill home. Not this place, they gave me an ultimatum that if I don't pay the $100, I'm not getting seen. I said okay. I came home, called my insurance, my insurance called them I don't have a co-pay of $100, because they were wrong, they would not admit it but told me they can't see me anymore because I didn't pay the $100, such a shame!. Whoever owns this place, the front desk and workers are collapsing your company. They've got so much ego, they can't even apologize to patients when they are wrong. In no time this business will not stand. Our reviews will end this business if no improvements are made. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE!

The PA I saw on my visit, Alexa Haemer, was extremely knowledgeable in all questions I had when I came to the office. I was nervous going in but immediately felt so comfortable by her energy and reassurance during my appointment. The office is always accommodating with appt times. I told them to call me if they had any cancellations and they did! I was able to get in early which was really helpful. I recommend all of my friends with derm / cosmetic wants to Alexa.

I asked for a first appointment months ago and was given a 7:15 his first appointment. Upon arriving today 9 people in front of me in waiting room. I understand there are other professionals working there so I was not alarmed. After 35 mins of waiting and at least 6 other people called in before me and others leaving I found out the hours start at 7. No problem how many people can you book between 7 and 7:15? Answer many!! After 35 mins I politely asked if the could refund my copay if it was going to be awhile, and without hesitation, the receptionist took my card, refunded me and quickly asked if I wanted another appointment. I thought this is strange since I asked how long much longer would be, but they stated they don't know how long it's gonna take with each one of his patients. I left the office after waiting because the office staff could not give me an answer of how much longer I'd have to wait. I understand as a professional in the medical field that you may have to wait at appointments, but when they don't bother to go and check to find out how long it will be that's where I drew the line. So I am leaving Dr Silverstein's care not because of the doctor, but because of the front staff treated me like a number and that they were happy that I was leaving early. It took one more person off a busy schedule.

I have been a patient at IslandWide for over a year and have been extremely happy with my care. I see the PA Alexa, who has been the first provider to find an effective treatment for my acne. Her and the rest of the staff are extremely professional, knowledge and friendly. I would highly recommend coming here exceptional care!

Myself and both my parents have been a patient here for many years. I called to make an appointment and they asked for a credit card to put on file to bill me for no show appointments. I told them on the phone I was not going to give them a credit card and they proceeded to make me an appointment anyway. I went for my visit today and went to pay my copay in cash. The lady at the desk refused to take me for my appointment unless we gave a credit card on file. I asked if we gave a card who will be protecting it? The answer was "i don't know it would just be on our files"... meaning my card could be accessed in this day and age by anyone. Keep in mind myself and both my parents have been patients here for many years and did not have this issue before. The rude ladies at the desk refused to take me for my appointment unless I gave a card. Good job island wide dermatology you just lost 3 loyal patients who have been coming for years. Your loss.
