Northwell Family Health Center at Huntington

they refused service to a patient over his legal status , the doctor here should be reviewed for any previous negligence. it's racism to the core. I've worked many years in many hospitals the first thing we are told is you NEVER refuse EMERGENCY / CLINICAL patients. I'm disgusted.

I have been coming to here since I was a child myself. Service sucked back then and we'd be waiting for hours there because they can't follow a schedule. Years later when I had kids I went with them because I did trust the doctors here. Service is still god awful. No one actually answers phone here ever. The people that do answer phones here have crap attitudes. The front desk ladies that have been there forever are all nasty and give attitude. The nurses there except for one male nurse in the ped dept are gossiping children and unprofessional. The pediatricians here are about the only good thing this place has to offer. And that's only sometimes. I have been dealing with this place over 20 years now and I am majorly disappointed they can't seem to treat us with kindness, answer the phones with kindness or do their actual jobs. There are so many things wrong with this place.

3hrs trying to schedule an appointment , on hold for 30 mins then sent to voicemail no call back from them,

My doctor is Desai. She is a fantastic doctor!!! She listens to everything I tell her. She gives me answers and is very concerned about me. She asks questions all the time to be helpful and understand what my problem is. She always calls me back when I call her. If I'm not sure about something she will explain it to me where I understand. I had a few doctors in my life time but she is the best!!! I will always go to her!!! I can't say enough about her!!! You want a great doctor this is the one you want!!!! Everyone there is very nice and friendly!!!!

Phone answering service did not improve at all, since Dolan Family Center Merged with Northwell and moved to new location. It is even worst now. There is got be a better way of doing business. Once they answer, Receptionist are in a rush too get off the phone, if you complain about the wait, they will answer back, what can we do? We are busy......So Northwell, please hire more receptionist and improve the service. BTW, I am on hold for 35 minutes now....Continuous audio loop of how Northwell knows how valuable my time is, what my position on the Que for 37 minutes and you charge so much money for service.......!!!!
