Dr. Giamelli has been taking care of our son since he was 4 days old and has performed 5 successful heart procedures so far. He has always been great over the past 8 years and is also on the younger side of life meaning he will be around for a long time to take care of your child too. A recent review said he had poor bedside manners, but we have not experienced that at all. All doctors can be busy and quick sometimes, but Giamelli has never been rude, always answered our questions, and is quite good with kids. I would recommend him as he appears to be an excellent surgeon (and that is really the most important thing in the end).

Joseph Giamelli asked too many questions all at once and not giving me chance to explain. He was checking my child, Meanwhile I was on my phone, and he started to talk, I thought he was talking to my child, and he said it very rudely that are you paying Attention, and I told that I thought you are talking to my kid, and then he raised his hand and did A go away sign towards my child. He was talking way too fast, felt like he just wanted to get over with the appointment.That why I changed the doctor for next appointment. Giamelli LACKS BED SIDE MANNERS, VERY DISAPPOINTED, Doesn't RECOMMEND.

Dr. Giamelli gave us the best experience we could possibly ask for! When we found out unexpectedly our 9 year old daughter needed a procedure done on her heart we couldn't have imagined a better outcome. He had her appointment scheduled quickly and answered all of her questions (she asks A LOT of questions). He was very reassuring with her through the whole process. He kept her teddy bear in the room and even took a picture to show her the bear stayed the whole time, the bear even got a bandage in the same spot as hers. After the procedure when I had questions I had a call back from him personally within the hour. I couldn't imagine a better more professional and comforting doctor for a child!
