The stent procedure got me back to all my prior activities. Everything went smoothly and recovery was easy and fairly quick. No more pain, numbness or cramping! Dr Purtill is a very nice guy and he explained all my options. I always felt fully informed and was entirely comfortable with him and his staff.

William Purtill did what about 10 other docs couldn't figure out. I was hospitalized in Mount Sinai South Nassau for 10 days w massive swelling in my right foot....dozens of doctors came everyday to look at me ask me questions. .gave me tons of antibiotics etc. Etc. No answers but kicked me out after 10 days....then I was referred to Dr. Purtill. He was the only dr. That gave me an ultrasound while standing and figured out it was a leg vein giving more then it returned up. (I had had 5 ultrasounds prior laying down w various doctors that showed zip) A week later He cauterizing my leg vein and solved my problem! Just like that! He saved me!

I have been a patient of Dr. Purtill for many years. I have always found him to be caring, knowledgeable, and always,willing to take as much time as needed to address all my questions and explain everything. I feel very comfortable with him. I would and have recommended him to others. The only downside is sometimes you do wait a long time in the office but it is worth it since I feel he is an excellent doctor.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Purtill and his professional staff.I went to see him after an ER visit. The hospital told me my carotid arteries were blocked 50-60%. As you can imagine that was a very frightening diagnosis. The hospital did tell me that although that number does sound high. It was nothing to be overly concerned. So I went to see Dr Purtill. After he listened to my carotid arteries. He looked at me and said "there's no way your arteries are block 50-60%." So he did another ultrasound to verify his suspicions. My arteries were clear! No blockages not even any sign of plaque. Needless to say I was thrilled. Dr Purtill is a knowledgeable and skilled doctor. I would highly recommend him. He has also treated my husband for leg wounds issues. Nothing but concern and great wound care from him and his great staff.

In response to Jennifer Provenzano. I was in the office at the time with my mother who is a patient of Dr. Purtill. Dr Purtill had an emergency surgery he had to attend to. The waiting room was full. Everyone understood and told him to go. I listened to the conversation you had with whomever you were speaking to. She explained the situation and it seemed to me that you were not accepting it. She was professional and polite. This is the friendliest and most caring staff I've had the opportunity to deal with. I understand you were having a bad day, but your review is just wrong. Dr Purtill is not only an exceptional surgeon, he is a good person. My advice, remove the review, make another appointment and let Dr Purtill take care of you. I wish you well.
