St. Joseph's Health Cardiovascular Institute - E. Syracuse

I asked to go to the bathroom before the procedure started. I was denied. After an hour and a half I was in pain from holding it, I was told to pee myself. Then I was stripped on the spot with no regard for my dignity. I was completely humiliated. After multiple doses of fentanyl and versed I experienced a ln inability to speak. A full code was called because it appeared as if I was having a stroke. After I regained awareness, I found myself in a unit called the PCU. NEVER DID GET AN EXPLANATION. I couldn't get out of the hospital fast enough. Still don't know what happened but I suspect over medication.

Very Rude nurse/nurse practitioner, referring to the lady who is administering my Mothers stress test. Just kinda mean and inpatient. Not even knowing Moms situation, she says, I wouldn't be putting my Mom thru this, then tells me to leave the room. Very unprofessional.

Dr is very dismissive, blaming everything on anxiety. Says he's not going to do something, then does, then goes back on having done it. He out my pacemaker in and asks every time I see him "remember I didn't want to put it in because I didn't think it would help?" Well doc it did help but not everything...and no I don't remember you saying you didn't want the pacemaker in. I remember you coming in to the ER and saying I was next on the table. Told me he'd schedule me 3 months out for a procedure to give time for a neurological review then scheduled me for an ablation 3 weeks later with no answers to why it was moved up and I suddenly didn't need the neuro workup done first.

Nurses are very rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I overheard them discussing another patient's condition and personal information, called them a hypochondriac. Don't go there.

Dr. Welch was so wonderful to work with at our appointment. He took his time and answered every question we asked with clear and meaningful answers. We were so pleased with our experience with everyone that worked with us. Thank you so much!
