Patient Reviews

Patient

I'm deeply disappointed by the experience I had with this cardiologist. Despite coming in with very real symptoms--chest pain, fatigue, and shortness of breath. The doctor told her she was "too young to be sick" and implied that her symptoms were likely nothing to worry about because of her age. This kind of response is not only dismissive but dangerous. Age should never be used as a reason to overlook a patient's concerns, especially when it comes to heart health. Young people can have serious medical issues, and minimizing their symptoms can lead to missed diagnoses and delayed treatment. Patients deserve to be listened to and taken seriously--regardless of age or gender. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here.

I would never recommend Dr. Khalili to a loved one. My father was a patient of his for 6+ years and when I saw my dads health declining from heart failure, I decided to take him for a second opinion. Dad was emitted into Stony Brook Hospital for testing and a paracentesis. Within weeks he was diagnosed with Attr Amyloidosis and a previous stroke. I fought hard to get him medication (Vyndamax) for his Amyloidosis. It cost thousands of dollars for a month supply. He was on it for 5 months and not enough time to stop the amyloid building up in his heart. My father is on hospice and has stage D heart failure due to Dr. Khalili's negligence.

I first met this cardiologist in October of last year during a hospitalization. I did my cardio follow-up with him post discharge, and he could never remember who I was. He even did a procedure post discharge and when I went in for follow-up he asked me who did the procedure. 5 times I saw him, 5 times he didn't know who I was. But at 49 years old he told me to make sure I didn't get pregnant because of my medical condition. The strangest and most uncaring physician I have ever met.

on 7/30/2020 I went for a six month checkup. Our temperatures were taken as we entered. The office was crowded and the check in/check outs were very close to each other. We were able to wait in our car before he saw me.Patients were not social distant from each other. There was no partition for the staff at the front desks. When I mentioned this to the Dr. his response was do not come back for a year. If I am coming in on his recommendation every 6 months then why a year? If I do not need to come in for a year why am I asked to follow up every 6 months. His response seemed flippant.

Excellent cardiologist, he diagnosed me correctly basically saving me from a major heart attack, he sent me to Winthrop where they saw I had 3 blockages and performed a emergency triple bypass thus saving me from further damage .I trust him and his advice when I do my follow up visits
