Albany Associates in Cardiology

Twice as a new patient went to this facility to see my new doctor. Both times I have explained to them that I have a fractured L-4 facets joint that doesn't allow me to sit or stand up for any length of time. Both times they left me in a room door closed for a hour. Unprofessional behavior and unethical behavior from a cardiologist facility shame on them. That's the way you treat patients. We are New York. We are better than that. We show the rest of the world how to do it make us proud and be responsible and take care of our patient.

Disgustingly dismissive staff. I walked in with severe chest pain as suggested by an ER doctor if I experienced further issues, and immediately was belittled by a nurse. It was stated; "well you drove here and you're not old so, you really shouldn't be having issues. You're fine." I have a history of heart issues due to complications from an ED. When I attempted to explain this to the nurse, she said "I'm giving you tests, calm down." and proceeded to talk down to me in the follow conversation. I then tried to tell the front desk how she made me uncomfortable, then was told; "well she is normally great with her patients. You probably took it wrong." Don't go here if you don't fit their demographic of old and feeble.

I give 10 stars to the nurse who gave me nothing but care, compassion and even followed me outside to see how my appointment went after she noticed I was upset and I thank her so much for how over the top and outstanding she was. But to the icd nurse/tech Kelsey who from the beginning of the appointment acted as if I was a bother and rolled her eyes, checked her watch and was just completely rude and had zero compassion and no bedside manner what so ever zero stars. She was shocked when I saw her give a look to the other tech in the room as I was leaving and called her out saying she could at least wait until I left before she made faces about me. Again my appointment was great until my encounter with Kelsey, working in healthcare you learn to treat patients with respect and care and she has none of that.

Was incredibly anxious and a bit jaded after some rather poor experiences with another cardiac clinic, but my time working with the staff here has been beyond excellent. From the get go they took my concerns seriously, treated me with compassion and empathy, and were extremely patient with the multitude of questions that come up when you're dealing with something as scary as heart complications. If I even find myself needing this kind of care again in the future I will very much be coming back. Thank you so much for what you do!

Just a brief note to thank and commend Dr. Hirst for taking the time to explain my EKG results in detail. I have been curious for years about how they are read. Despite the fact that he was having a rather busy day, he patiently discussed my latest results with me in great detail. Much appreciated.
