I would like to express my disappointment in Great Lakes Cardiovascular - a few months ago I was experiencing growing and very concerning heart palpitations and arrhythmia - I frequently (more than 10 to 15 times a day) had very deep and painful, sometimes dizzy heart palpitations that I expressed to the cardiologist at Great Lakes. I have a bit of anxiety/aka/concern naturally, but this make me very anxious because I never experienced something like this - when all things were said and done, they used old echocardiograms from a visit I made months prior from Suburban Cardiology (when I had something similar), and did a stress test, as well as a 24 monitor. The determination was that they couldn't find anything, with use of an old echocardiogram - while on the call with a doctor who gave me a review he said suggested I go talk to a therapist because he said it was just anxiety. I felt dismissed and not taken seriously - my heart pain was real and I was scared. Later I found out that COVID-19 vaccinations may cause myocarditis in younger men which is inflammation of the heart - I'm not sure what could have been done about it, but I'm surprised they didn't know being well informed doctors. I'm just disappointed in the handling of my scenario and the dismissiveness - could they have figured it out if they did their own echocardiogram, who knows? I'm still alive today - I'm sure if there was something wrong they would have found it - right?
