Timothy G. Jayasundera, MD, FACC

I've been going to this doctor for a couple of years, but I finally reached the point where I can't stay quiet about my experience. Even though the office is convenient and he did help my mother-in-law, I've never felt truly cared for by Dr. Timothy G. Jayasundera. Every appointment feels rushed. He's in the room for barely 3-5 minutes, gives little to no explanation, and makes you feel like you're just another dollar sign instead of a real person with real concerns.My last visit was the breaking point. I came in worried about my health after not getting a good report. I asked for additional bloodwork for peace of mind. Instead of listening, he acted annoyed and completely dismissed me. He didn't explain anything, didn't take my concerns seriously, and spoke to me in a way that felt disrespectful and belittling.I left that appointment feeling embarrassed, unheard, and honestly shocked. No patient should walk out of a doctor's office feeling that way.

During a five-month period, I was under the care of Dr. Jayasundera. I adhered to the prescribed treatment plan, which included providing medical records and wearing a heart monitor. Despite multiple consultations, each limited to five minutes, a diagnosis was not provided. When I inquired about my condition and the heart monitor results, Dr. Jayasundera indicated that I would be notified if any concerns arose. Following a pharmacy notification regarding the rapid increase of my medication, and without explanation, I requested my medical records to seek a second opinion. These requests were submitted in person, by phone, email, and fax, but were not fulfilled. Six years later, I am now receiving follow-up appointment notifications. Regrettably, my health has significantly deteriorated, a situation that could potentially have been addressed during my time under Dr. Jayasundera's care.

I love Dr TJ and his staff, very attentive doctor who really cares about his patients. I would definitely continue to recommend him to anyone seeking a Doctor!

Let me start by saying this is not related to the staff who are super helpful. Dr Jay makes no time for his patients to have a conversation. He spends a minute, at most 2 minutes before rushing off to see his next patient. And even when I tried asking a question, he still wasn't interested. Maybe that's all some people need but to have my primary doc just listen to my breathing and not wanting to have a conversation is unsatisfying for me. Strike 1, we'll see what happens next time I am in the office 11/20/25 - My past few visits since I made this review has been better. Dr Jay is more attentive and answers my questions. Looking forward to further collaboration with him and the staff.
