Review for scheduling with radiology. Go elsewhere. They have cancelled on me 3 times in a row at the last minute. The first time the day prior to the appointment they notified me that they had to reschedule as a technician was out sick, which I wrote off as understandable and rescheduled. The second time, I come to the office early for my scheduled appointment, check in at the front desk and pay my copay. I wait in the waiting room to be brought in for the appointment. They eventually call me back and I make it all the way into the radiology room next to the machine to be informed that they cannot in fact due my scans as there is not a doctor present that day. I ask if the technician can complete the scans for the doctor to review when they are next in office. No, they indicate that as I have a mass they are reviewing, there must be a doctor present that day. The logic of this is of course that the mass being reviewed will be left unchecked for longer, given that I must reschedule for significantly later than when a doctor would next be in. I go back to the waiting room where the front desk assists me to reschedule, apologizing that this has now happened two times, and says she'll make a note that "this really needs to happen and that I've already been cancelled on twice." I leave the office but return after realizing I'd already paid my copay and ask for a refund, which they process (but did not do automatically). Over a month later I have my new appointment scheduled for 830 this morning. Last night I log in to my MyChart to double check the address, and see my two radiology appointments for the next morning have vanished (I've already completed the forms and all of the pre-check in information). Confused, I check my email, texts and missed calls and see a voicemail from 6:30 PM saying my appointment was cancelled due to "construction in the radiology room." As an aside..... what kind of construction is planned the evening before? There is no other message on my mychart or in my email, just a voicemail I could easily miss in the context of the overwhelming number of spam calls I (and I assume we all) routinely ignore. The disorganization, disrespect for patients time and schedules and carelessness for monitoring a health condition is frustrating and disappointing at best.
