Review for scheduling with radiology. Go elsewhere. They have cancelled on me 3 times in a row at the last minute. The first time the day prior to the appointment they notified me that they had to reschedule as a technician was out sick, which I wrote off as understandable and rescheduled. The second time, I come to the office early for my scheduled appointment, check in at the front desk and pay my copay. I wait in the waiting room to be brought in for the appointment. They eventually call me back and I make it all the way into the radiology room next to the machine to be informed that they cannot in fact due my scans as there is not a doctor present that day. I ask if the technician can complete the scans for the doctor to review when they are next in office. No, they indicate that as I have a mass they are reviewing, there must be a doctor present that day. The logic of this is of course that the mass being reviewed will be left unchecked for longer, given that I must reschedule for significantly later than when a doctor would next be in. I go back to the waiting room where the front desk assists me to reschedule, apologizing that this has now happened two times, and says she'll make a note that "this really needs to happen and that I've already been cancelled on twice." I leave the office but return after realizing I'd already paid my copay and ask for a refund, which they process (but did not do automatically). Over a month later I have my new appointment scheduled for 830 this morning. Last night I log in to my MyChart to double check the address, and see my two radiology appointments for the next morning have vanished (I've already completed the forms and all of the pre-check in information). Confused, I check my email, texts and missed calls and see a voicemail from 6:30 PM saying my appointment was cancelled due to "construction in the radiology room." As an aside..... what kind of construction is planned the evening before? There is no other message on my mychart or in my email, just a voicemail I could easily miss in the context of the overwhelming number of spam calls I (and I assume we all) routinely ignore. The disorganization, disrespect for patients time and schedules and carelessness for monitoring a health condition is frustrating and disappointing at best.

I had an appointment for December 24th and was on a wait list for a sooner appointment in case a slot opened up. On November 17th, I received a text message that a slot had opened up for November 20th, do I want it? I accepted. When I came to the reception at Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights on November 20th, I was told I didn't have any appointment that day or any other, but that I could schedule a new appointment for January 21st--a month later than my original appointment had been. I asked for the phone number to make a complaint. Speaking to the person who took the complaint, I was told, this is the first time they had ever received a complaint about such an occurrence. I said, "Perhaps no one complained, but I'm sure it happens all the time." There was no apology for my being inconvenienced or concern for another -- there was zero client relations--In fact, I'd say their orientation was the antithesis of customer relations. It's a new world where the adage "Do unto others as thou shalt have others do unto you" is no longer operative. There is something absurd going on. It's like there are no humans. Even the humans are not humans. I think they let the automated scheduling system do its thing and make no apologies. Imagine how the billing system must be. For instance, let's say their computer system billed you for a visit you didn't have. Now imagine the medical treatment in a place where no human shows common sense and all have abdicated responsibility. How will medical errors be dealt with when the computer system rules and the humans are no longer involved? I am interpreting this incident as a protective omen, meaning to stay safe, I better stay away

I'd been looking to switch my primary care provider to someone closer to home and came across Dr. Francis on the Mount Sinai website -- I feel so fortunate to have found them. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, thorough, and knowledgeable. They created a warm, safe environment where I felt comfortable asking questions, and they took the time to address all of my concerns without making me feel rushed. I'm truly grateful to be in such capable and compassionate hands. A quick note about the office: they're currently undergoing renovations, so check-in might feel a bit chaotic. That said, I've been coming to this location for over 10 years -- my OBGYN and my kids' pediatrician are also based here -- and I've consistently had great experiences with both the clinical team and administrative staff.

I never have written a such rate before but following our experience at Mount Sinai I have to. We had an appointment with a paediatrician - Dr. Sarah Teitell - for our son. After we had to go in a different room because the computer did not work, the doctor assistant asked all the information, checked his weight and told us that the doctor was with another patient so we would wait for a while... one hour and a half later, after we asked, she told us she didn't know when the doctor will arrive ("it could be 1 or 2 hours"). She justified that saying we were arrived 5 minutes late, which seemed not an issue before. It is totally unacceptable, no solution has been suggested, no information shared in the beginning of the appointment and above, no deontology at all, they absolutely don't care about the patient's health. We got no option than leaving without a diagnosis and a prescription for our child. If I could rate a zero, I would do that. Never go there if you need to see a doctor.

Primary Care Doctor Olshansky was very courteous and listened to me in detail. He did checkup to understand the issue and recommended treatment plan. Desk checkup was a breeze and didn't have to wait too long to see the doctor. I will go again.
