Complete Cardiovascular Care

I highly recommend Dr. Kokolis to anyone in need of a lifesaving cardiologist. I would give not 5 but 100 stars if it would be possible! I have very good reasons to do that... I have had an extraordinary experience with Dr. Kokolis Cardiovascular Office for several years now. They are very dedicated and passionate staff that i have been lucky enough to have as my primary healthcare provider. And they are a busy office. Dr. Kokolis himself is very knowledgeable and current with the most cutting edge professional cardiology medicine. Thanks to their thorough examination and preemptive actions, I was able to avoid a potential heart attack when Dr. Kokolis explained with a very clear language the seriousness of his late findings which are pretty much caused by my genetic inheritance and late lifestyle. He took the time to explain my condition in detail, answered all my questions, and made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout the process to make an educated decision. He determined the steps that should follow without delay and made all the necessary arrangements without delay and followed up meticulously to details. I am so happy that I followed his advice. He referred me to one of the best specialists for the procedure I needed that was supposed to be a relatively easy and about an hour but with more details revealed from the hospital, it came to be even more serious and lasted more so I should stay overnight in the hospital ( which deserves a separate detailed review) for intensive monitoring. LUCKIEST MAN ALIVE!!! I'm not going to start this Google review out with "I never do this". I have done Google reviews, but I feel this one is most necessary. I went to visit Dr. Kokolis (Complete Cardiovascular Care) on February 22 of 2021 and explained to him what I was feeling/experiencing for that past year or so while seeing a new inexperienced primary care physician. After completion of my appointment with Dr. Kokolis, I was immediately referred and scheduled for an MRI on 2/25 of my head which determined I had a large (Tumor) brain cancer. I was summoned to Dr. Kokolis' office Within 20 minutes of returning from the MRI then sent immediately to the ER at NYU Langone. Dr. Kokolis called ahead & informed Dr. Placantonakis I was on my way and the situation on hand. Upon arrival I was moved at light speed through the process having my first lifesaving procedure of a partial tumor resection on 3/5/21. After the healing process I received concurrent Radiation/Chemo therapy. My Brain Cancer has been stable for 3+ years now. I have not had a seizure since Dr. Jongeling my (Epilepsy specialist) changed my anti-seizure medication to Briviact, also 3+ years. Now WAIT! that's not the end. For more than a year I have been experiencing chest pains, discomfort, fatigue, and lack of energy. I felt helpless with no ambition to move on. There were 2-3 more ER visits where no findings were made. I was fighting each day to get out of bed, continue to work, but yet still put on that smiley face for everyone around me. I was unhappy, in pain and felt helpless for such a long time that I was beginning to accept this is life now. I made an appointment with Dr. Kokolis and during the visit I attempted then Quit the office stress test prematurely. Dr. Kokolis sent me for a more detailed stress test where it was determined that I had a 40% blockage to my heart. Yes 40%, so I immediately began to cut down on my horrible eating habits (junk food). I was over 215 lbs. losing 20 lbs. in a short time. I continued to have ice cream and the bad things, but not nearly as much. For the last several weeks, I was having chest pain and head pressure with dizziness where I pushed it off trying to avoid a doctors/ER visit. On 10/09/2024 with no other option I walked into Dr. Kokolis's office unannounced and was seen by the doctor. Following an EKG and vitals, I was seen by Dr. Kokolis where he asked me questions while taking notes (I could actually see the equations floating above his head as we spoke and he jotted everything down) he then decided that I was going straight to the emergency room at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan by ambulance. There's no time to prepare for anything like this or an option to wait for a Loved one to be by your side. Dr. Kokolis again called ahead and spoke to a Dr. (Dr. Dominguez) and informed him that I was on my way and would need an angiogram. The angiogram determined that I now had a severely blocked artery to my heart. "THE WIDOW MAKER"which was now at 90%. I found this scary part out after the Life Saving procedure, realizing how truly LUCKY I am to still be alive. Not only am I the LUCKIEST MAN ALIVE, I am ever so grateful & thankful to everyone on my care teams. Dr. Kokolis is not only a medical professional, he is not only a Compassionate doctor who is dedicated in his field, but a true MEDICAL GENIUS who knows how and when to act. My life has now been saved for the second time by Dr. Kokolis' quick thinking & expert experience without blinking an eye or breaking a sweat. We could never thank Dr. Kokolis enough for saving my life more than once, for doing what he loves. My opinion is that this is not work/a job but his life's work and love of his profession, the desire to make a difference and save endless lives. THANK YOU Dr. Kokolis, you truly are an Angel.

Well rounded, thorough examination, and found a specific cardiac condition that was unknown to me, staff was helpful and courteous.
