Dr. Anthony J. Salvate, MD

Dr. Salvate and his assistant, Valerie are what we wish all medical professionals were like. Valerie is extremely competent and makes sure you get an appointment based on your needs, not put at the bottom of the totem pole. Dr. Salvate is beyond exceptional - he really listens with patience and concern, is incredibly thorough and knowledgeable, and is the epitome of a true health care provider. In addition to these attributes, he saved my husband's life a couple of years ago with his no-nonsense approach. I truly with I could clone Valerie and Dr. Salvate - they are an endangered species.

I cannot recommend Dr. Salvate enough. After giving birth to my second child, I experienced severe shortness of breath and was diagnosed with early heart failure and pulmonary hypertension at the ER, but they sent me home untreated. The cardiologist they referred me to had no appointments for weeks. My husband, already a patient of Dr. Salvate, got me an appointment with him immediately and I'm convinced he saved my life. Dr. Salvate reviewed my scans, prescribed medication, and monitored my progress in a timely manner. I lost 40 lbs of fluid in about five days, reversing my heart failure. I could breathe again! He even had me do a follow-up echocardiogram in his office to confirm my recovery. Had I waited on the ER docs and their cardiologist recommendation I often wonder if I'd still be here today. Dr. Salvate is professional, thorough, and compassionate. Unlike many doctors, he doesn't focus solely on shaming you for your weight/BMI but addresses health issues with empathy and respect. Valerie, his incredible office manager, makes the experience even better. It's rare to find such a fantastic doctor with an equally amazing office staff--this practice is truly a needle in a haystack!
