Essen Health Care: 899 Elton Avenue

The service from the front desk is terrible. My appointment is at 230pm got here at 2 pm is 212 and still can't register on kios. I was now informed the tech is going on lunch.If he takes lunch at 230pm. Why schedule an appointment at 230pm.The ladies are not helpful at all.I am also being told I might be in the wrong place. I have the text message states this office.Ladies on other side doing nothing and couldn't help. Finally they sent me to the next office and lady ask when was my last Mamagram I don't remember isn't that in my chart. Then she says o if we do it you gonna be bill. I will never ever get any Mammogram with this clinic. Never have this problem with Lenox hill Radiology. You guys should really go there and see how real professionals treat patients.

Customer service at front desk is horrible. Patients are typically not acknowledged as they wait to be called and checked in. Greetings are low. They'll pass you onto the next staff with low communication. One staff this morning was just on her phone (phone on speaker) at the front desk and instead of calling patients up she continued on with her conversation discussing getting her hair done. Poor inappropriate service. It's sad because it's only in our communities that we get service that's poor & it be from our own people.

The two star review is for the two individuals that actually is their jobs today. I arrived for my 12:15p appointment no later than 11:45a. I check in with the receptionist who seemed to be more interested in the lollipop she was sucking on them given CORRECT INSTRUCTIONS. I entered the door she pointed me to and sat until 1:15p(one hour AFTER my appointment time). I go BACK to the front and ask the same receptionist was she Sure she sent me to the right place. She then proceeds to tell me to go FURTHER to the back and enter the next door. I hate this clinic. some of these workers are more preoccupation with themselves and how TIGHT each others uniform are.

I had an appointment Saturday September 20,2025 at 1:30pm got there at 1:15pm for the gyn doctor to order her cab to go home with no care in the world very unprofessional she avoid my appointment but called me 5 times to ask if I was coming .... thanks to the three clerks that was in the front for being so helpful i appericate it Kindly will not ever go back to this gyn doctor have a title / job and wanna work not be unprofessional and careless of ur patients

Now I see what this place had 3 stars and had to proactively reach out to potential patients to set appointments. Essen Health DOES NOT CARE about you AT ALL. PERIOD. Your health is NOT their priority. Be warned. Don't waste your time and be mistreated like me. Not by the Doctor but by SO CALLED administrative staff! What a WASTE OF PRECIOUS TIME! It just makes me feel dejected. Like they could care less about my health. I am sorry I wasted my time going there on Tuesday. I could have used what little energy I had elsewhere.
