Dr. Carl A. Heinecke, MD, MPH

The office is very proficient. The technician who did the ECHO was excellent. She was personable and thorough. The climate in the exam rooms was comfortable. There is music throughout the areas. Dr. Heinecke, makes you feel at ease and has a great bedside manner. Encouraging and realistic when discussing difficult topics about your health and life changing habits and procedures. He also listens and suggests corrective actions.

My experience with Dr. Heineke was a very pleasant one. He is knowledgeable, patient and he listens very well. I didn't feel rushed and I left the appointment knowing a lot more than when I started. It was wonderful to have someone explain results of my testing. I was waiting for that and I was not disappointed.

I am writing another review about Capital Cardiology Associates, Albany NY. I just read and found my dad's medical records that said that the doctors at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY (where my dad was staying before he passed) didn't understand why my dad didn't get treated with antibiotics for his bacterial pneumonia. It was the Cardiologist Dr. Carl A. Heinecke and Jacqueline Millard, NP (Millard with only 4 years of experience) that work at Capital Cardiology Associates, Albany NY, that made the decision not to give my dad antibiotics at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY. They thought it was issues with his heart. Pneumonia can trigger atrial fibrillation (AFib) due to factors like inflammation, stress on the heart, and electrolyte imbalances. My dad said that he had no chest pain and had no shortness of breath or feelings of breathlessness. Just a weird cough. It sounded like pneumonia, which he had back in 2022. Pneumonia does not always come with a fever. Being that my dad had pneumonia once before, I recognized the symptoms this time AS pneumonia. But in the medical records it did say yes, he had chest pain and shortness of breath - which is NOT true. This doctor or other doctors are lying in his medical records. I was there with my dad the whole time. My dad didn't make it after being at the hospital for 3 days, without antibiotics, but was overloaded with other drugs (according to the records, there was more than 30 medicines in 3 days), that affected his kidneys. They seriously -ed up. They are negligent, and they didn't listen to me in the first place when I had SAID it was pneumonia. Dr. Heinecke had great reviews on google - DON'T believe them. Businesses and friends may give him favorable reviews. I will not. Do not trust this doctor. (I have written other reviews about this doctor, Capital Cardiology Associates and Samaritan Hospital of Troy NY).

Dr. Heinecke is all I ever wanted in a cardiologist - he listens, he offers advice and suggestions but not forceful about the topics in question. Shows real compassion and understanding of how to handle our overly busy lives and yet maintain good heart health. Truly a knowledgeable professional in his field.

Dr. Heinecke is professional, friendly and above all listens while I discuss my concerns. I never feel rushed and I am so glad that he is my Cardiologist. Thanks to him I've been feeling much better.
