I am a native of Las Cruces and had major surgery at this facility. From start to finish, it couldn't have gone any better. Pre-op was truly amazing, showing grace under presure, even in the face of last-minute scheduling changes. The surgical team, led by Dr. Mark Cavaretta, performed flawlessly as evidenced by my speedy recovery. Same for the post-op team, even though they were faced with impossible demands from a sudden and unexpected influx of patients. Last, a special thanks goes out to RN's Winter and Luis on the third floor, along with their energetic, never-tired tech's, for making my overnight stay exceptional, ensuring my recovery success. I encourage the administrative staff at Mountain View Hospital to continue supporting all these courageous heroes. They deserve it!

I went to the ER Clinic on N Main with a Horrible Pinch Nerve that kept going to my waist. I got a CT Scan and got Diagnose with Gastroenteritis. I was Dehydrated and a real bad UTI I kept giving Morfina of course my pinch nerve went away. I was going to get admitted to the Main Hospital but it took more than 15 hours to get transferred. From Monday 9:30 am til Tuesday 12:30 am. My Room was really nice but the Gowns that they have they are so Old and Ripped. And the Shower was so Filthy full of Water Marks. It took me like 20 minutes to get hot water. All the Staff was very Nice from the Nurse Manager. Nurse Leaders. And Nurse Assistants Very Helpful and Nice but the Dr. Lee or Alee an Oriental Dr. I believed He was very Rude. No consideration that people are sick and in Pain. I was treated for Dehydration and as soon as I got my Electrolytes regulated After been told that I had a Copayment of $1080.00 for not even two days. Dr. Was in a hurry to kick me out. I wasn't even treated for my UTI. I got sent home with Antibiotics. Nothing about my pinch nerves. Which I went home still with the Pain. The next day I got my whole left side in Pain from Head to Throat. (Eye. Ear. Cheek. Jaw. Tooth. Teeth. Tongue. Throat). In such Pain that I Couldn't pass Saliva or Water. Same side of the Pinch Nerve that initially went to the Hospital for. Thinking I was going to have a Stroke and had to go back to the Hospital but just the thought of another $1080 .00 Copayment I stay Home using Home Remedies.

My mother was transported by ambulance to this emergency room due to her personal preference. She presented with symptoms including dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and numbness and stiffness in her hands. We remained there for nine hours; during this time, only once was a nurse assigned to check on her, and we received a single update from this nurse. The nurse was courteous; however, his capacity to assist was limited. My mother did not see a physician, nor did a doctor visit her during our nine hour stay. The only medical professional who attended to her was the nurse. The nurse explained that Dr. Daragon was very busy and did not have the time to speak with my mother, and she was discharged by this nurse. At this time I expressed my concerns to the nurse regarding my mother's symptoms and inquired why the only tests performed were laboratory tests and an EKG, considering that some symptoms such as dizziness and numbness in her hands might have warranted further evaluation, such as a CT scan or MRI. The nurse responded that these were the only tests ordered by Dr Daragon and that we should follow up with her primary care physician. It is concerning that we did not have the opportunity to consult with the doctor, there was a lack of communication, and a deficiency in empathetic engagement no compassion. Additionally, I requested a blanket for my mother; however, the staff informed me that none were available at that time. I had to ask a family member to deliver one, which was not an issue. Admission staff was courteous. A few family members visited, and I understand that the room accommodates only two persons, which is reasonable. However, I did not understand why the hospital could not provide visitor pass stickers for each visitor. Consequently, we had to share a sticker, which did not adhere properly. It is unfortunate that the hospital cannot supply such basic items. I would NOT recommend this hospital lacks empathy lacks compassion lacks basic items.

I went to the ER in extreme pain on a Thursday night and all the staff was extremely caring and helpful. A smart NP on duty got me admitted in order for further tests. She was correct in suspecting a gall bladder attack and an excellent surgeon removed my gallbladder on Saturday morning and let me stay one more night which meant that nurses could keep my pain down and keep me on an IV. These nurses on the 2nd floor and an NP were great - knowledgeable and kind. My room was large, quiet, and super clean!
