Dr. Colato is a top-notch cardiologist. He knows his profession well and takes the time to explain a patient's condition thoroughly. He understands the difficulty it is for a patient to come to grips with their situation. That is key. We waited 3 months to get an appointment for my sister-in-law (that's how popular he is), and it was well worth the wait.
Dr. Colato needs to use clients time wisely! The office makes appointments and you sit there waiting for an hour or two until he sees you! This is unacceptable especially for the elderly patients!! Do better Dr. Colato!!!
Dr Colato is the cardiologist for three of my family members. He is attentive and unhurried. He educates his patients and thoroughly explains his approach to treatment. It seems that the previously reported issues with the office are resolved - we've not waited more than 10 minutes after our appt times in the last several visits. It is, at times, a challenge to get through to the office on the phone, but this is not reflective of the quality of this physician.
We all want the best Cardiologist in Las Cruces. I feel "secure" with Dr. Colato and that my "heart" is in good hands! Also, Dr Colato is finally established in his new office. I was one of the hundreds of people who waited for an appt. (I noticed a few low reviews due to office staff issues. It's unfortunate because they can tarnish an excellent Doctor's reputation which Dr Colato is. Office staff skills "are" very important)
I guess Dr. Colatoe is an OK Doctor but every time I bring my father in law here they have us waiting in the lobby for over an hour before they call him back. This is completely unacceptable. It smacks of utter incompetence that they cannot schedule appointments a bit more accurately. Anyone can accept 15 or twenty minutes but over an hour to 1 1/2 hours??? Just ridiculous. Not to mention that it is warm in the lobby. You would think that with as much money as they bring in that they could afford to run the A/C a little cooler.
