Dr. Guido A. Leon, MD

I was sent to DR leon because I needed a second opinion about my heart. I was told he was blunt and I appreciate blunt but there's a fine line between blunt and rude. I didn't have my old medical records from my electrophysiologist yet before I went to leon but I was working on it. I told him about my heart issues but didn't have the paperwork to back it up so he tells me "who should I believe? You or the electrophysiologist??" And he didnt believe me till I finally acquired the paperwork that backed up my diagnosis and he found I wasnt lying. Which is great but the damage is done and I see him as rude and uncaring I get that he has been practicing for years maybe he is burnt out and needs to retire.

The doctor is very polite and nice to my mom. He has had thousands and thousands of patients in the past. And he has lots and lots of experience. Show knowing that he should easily diagnose your cardiovascular problems and then you'll be a winner. I am my mother liked him a lot. I'm sure if you give him a try you will be happy also.

Based on my first meeting where issues were found that my previous cardiologist missed. He is more thorough, forthcoming, and friendlier than I had expected from past reviews. I also really liked his staff. However, the wait to see him past my appointment time is very long, and I have to question some of the things said to me as I can't make good sense of them.

My Husband and I saw Dr. Leon two days ago. While we had to wait quite a long time, once we saw him we understood. Dr. Leon spent at least 45 minutes with us, and gave my Husband a VERY through exam, checking things that had never been checked before.He explained all things very well, and it was obvious to us that he was also up to date on various procedures. We were also most impressed with the staff, they were obviously very caring, as well as very busy. Also the staff and the Dr. were obviously a team, and a very good one. We would highly recommend Dr. Leon for any Cardiology problems.

Dr. Leon has been my Dr. for 6 years. I can truly say that after 3 heart attacks and 6 stents this past year. There is no one I would trust with my life more than him. It is true what they say. God truly put the right people in our lives at the right place and time. He and his staff have always been kind, compassionate and helpful. I take comfort in the fact that his office is always busy. To me that is a true testament to the kind of Dr. he is. I will always wait to see him because no one can put a price on my life or care that he has given me.
