Abdul Ahad Khan, MD, FACC, RPVI, is an Interventional Cardiologist who specializes in peripheral vascular disease; vascular heart disease; hypertension; heart failure; and arrhythmias. Dr. Khan is Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac Computed Tomography, Vascular Interpretation and Adult Echocardiography. He decided to pursue a career in medicine because he saw his grandmother pass away from heart failure as a child. He witnessed first-hand how this chronic, yet treatable ailment affects a patient and their loved ones.

My wife has had some stomach issues and was supposed to have a surgery to correct the issue but things just kept being put off due to additional testing all the while my wife was getting sicker. She was referred to a cardiologist to sign off on her upcoming surgery even though she's never had a heart problem... We arrived at the office fifteen minutes early on a 100+ degree day only to be told by the receptionist that the office wasn't open yet from lunch. Nobody in the waiting room, just the receptionist looking at her phone. We weren't the only patients turned away, there was an elderly woman dropped off by a medical transport van plus a couple of other patients all sent outdoors to sit in our idling vehicles air conditioning struggling as we were all just sitting stationary in the heat while the receptionist sat in the air conditioned office... Today I called the cardiology office on my wife's behalf, let them know who I was, her birthdate and my wife told them her phone number. So all of that information accounted for and I was then told that I couldn't speak on my wife's account as I wasn't listed on their computer. Three weeks previously my wife had signed all of the forms to allow for this but it still wasn't entered in their system... Nothing against Dr Khan, he was very caring and knows his job, it's his support staff that needs some help... Oh, one more thing. We've made a decision to not deal with any business that their telephone menu starts off with "For English push one". This is America and we speak English here, if you can't speak English take a class... Addendum... Today the office called my wife. My wife explained the reasons behind our not wanting to return to their office. At this point the girl on the phone asked who my wife was. So are they just randomly dialing numbers looking for patients? Addendum... Three hours after I'd posted this review doctors office staff were calling both my wife and I. That's record time for finding social media reviews, whereas after three weeks they'd not entered patient information into their computer records.
