Lakshmi Parvathaneni, MD is a board-certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist at New Mexico Heart Institute. Dr. Parvathaneni completed both her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago-Christ Medical Center. She received her Cardiology Fellowship from Indiana University in Indianapolis. Dr. Parvathaneni is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Parvathaneni is also member of the Women in Cardiology Section - American College of Cardiology. She has a special interest in women's heart health and preventive cardiology. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and watching the sunset.

Dr. P is so professional, when she walked in the room she had already reviewed my lab work and explained them to me. She carefully answered all of my questions and was very encouraging. I would highly recommend her for anyone with concerns about heart health.
Doctor P was very understanding, she listened and explained everything clearly and I was not left wondering what was next. Decided she would keep an eye on me and you see me in another six months.

Dr. Parvathaneni was terrific. She's totally approachable and thoughtful. Most importantly she 'heard' me. My concerns were addressed without time constraints. For once I didn't feel rushed in a Dr.'s office! Bonus... wait time was 5 minutes, Dr.P's MA's were professional as well. Really impressive visit.
I did not know that cardiologists are first trained in internal medicine until Dr Parvathaneni explained. It was obvious she had thoroughly reviewed all of my medical issues not just my cardiac one. It is comforting to know I have an expert with a holistic viewpoint looking out for me. I did not feel rushed or ignored at all. Her assistant Bernice was also on top of her game.
