I had made an appointment for my elderly mother about six weeks ago. In my humble opinion it is immanent that she sees a cardiologist due to several symptoms she has been having periodically. I had looked up Dr Fan and was impressed by her credentials, her reviews and accolades that I read online. Even when I called to make an appointment, the receptionist seemed fairly accommodating . On Monday February 11, 2019, the afternoon before my mother's appointment we received a voicemail from the doctor's office that the appointment would be cancelled on Tuesday due to inclement weather. In principle I had understanding that the office would be closed due to the treacherous driving conditions caused by the winter storm . BUT: When I called back to reschedule the appointment for my mother , I encountered rude and abrupt New Jersey attitude. Well , the staff might have been " so stressed and overwhelmed " , because many patients called to reschedule- oh well, after all they closed the office and canceled all the appointments. I felt absolutely no empathy or attempt to accommodate our schedule or the need to see the doctor as soon as possible,quite the contrary I was offered an April appointment. A total disgrace, considering I had made the appointment approximately 6 weeks ago! ( They always talk about having to wait for a procedure or physician appointment in Europe or Canada with socialized medicine- how long does one have to wait here , especially an elderly patient??) Would it be unreasonable or asking to much for the office to open a day that they would usually be closed ( for example a Saturday) in order to accommodate the patients whose vital doctor's visit was cancelled?? Does the Hippocratic Oath mean anything anymore or is it hypocritical??

Had an appointment today, as a new patient. The office staff was very courteous and friendly. However Dr. Fan not so much. She talked on her cell phone and texted during my appointment which i felt was very unprofessional; especially seeing as how my insurance is paying for her service. Although she listened to my concerns, i felt she was not at all attentive to my needs. I left the office feeling like i need a second opinion.

I've only had two sit in appointments with Dr. Fan and I must say, very professional. Not to many doctors now days take the time to explain things and answer all questions. The office staff was professional and courteous as well. Thank You NJ Cardiology Associates, your the best

Dr Fan is FANTASTIC ....She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and has an amazing bedside manner. I trust her judgment, diagnosis and recommendations when it comes to my heart health. In my opinion Dr Fan is THE BEST!!! SHE IS BRILLIANT
