At first I was ambivalent about him but he was in network and close, the ratings were not horrible. I was not very satisfied after stent work and follow ups by this practice but yet again my options were limited but NOW I walked out. I have no idea what made him comfortable enough to share his political views and it so happens I am diametrically opposed to them. Now he has crossed to the realm of not professional to reinforce my previous middle of the road impression of his ability. I wholeheartedly do NOT recommend this doctor or practice.

Doctor Clancy is a great heart Dr.My blood pressure was staying high even after another doctor prescribe me heart medication.Went to see Dr Clancy and he did many test and put me on a duel heart medication. Now my blood pressure is stable and continually monitored. Don't believe these other negative reviews. They probably was late for an appointment . That's what persuaded me to write this review.

I have had 3 appointments total and everything went well. There was hardly any wait time, everything was professional and clean. Dr. Clancy had patience and explained everything to me. 5 stars.

I scheduled an appointment to a certain day and time. I was not familiar with the address because I am from another town. 10 minutes before the appointment I called the office for direction. The receptionist was not willing to give me the directions other than the name of the street. She talked me down in a way that you have to feel guilty. She then retreated and gave me a partial direction without any specific like doing me a favor. The road was closed for construction and I had to make a big detour to get there. I got there late by twenty five minutes after my scheduled appointment. The doctor office was literally empty no one was there waiting and only the two front desk ladies were there. I entered and she told me 'I am late and therefore the doctor won't see me.' Yes that's right. I left back home and scheduled an appointment with another doctor. If you like to be treated with dignity and respect do NOT go to this doctor. The attitude I was given is "we are doing you a favor for seeing you." Go home now, schedule another appointment, and then come back on time or else. No I will not come back. I didn't see the doctor himself though so I have no experience whatsoever as how he is as a doctor but that experience was enough for me to stay far away. In fact I wonder if the doctor is really know what these ladies are doing in his office. I mean if I was late and someone was waiting you then let me see the doctor after that person but you don't send me back home as a punishment. You clearly can say that this is not a customer service you want to have and this is not a way of winning business to begin with. I gave this doctor one star just because there is no option for a zero star. Bad experience and shameful.

He's been my cardiologist for a few years, and I have never really liked him, and will now be searching for a new cardiologist. He has no bedside manner. He also does not seem to really care about his patients. I had surgery a year and a half ago, and arrived 8 mins late to an appointment, due to needing to park far away from the office and needing to use a walker to get into the building and wait for the elevator. They said I was 10 mins late and therefore would not see me. I was not 10 mins late- I was 8 and i would have only been 2 mins late if I was not walking slow with a walker due to surgery. I complained and he did eventually see me- but made me wait an extra hour, even though there were no other patients in the waiting room.
Last week, I got out of a week long stay in the hospital, with 4 of them being in the ICU. This was for blood pressure and cardiac reasons, which Dr. Clancy treats me for. While in the hospital, the cardiologist seeing me there stated he had attempted to reach Dr. Clancy several times, but was unable to and did not receive a return call. I spent 5 days at home before returning to work and was unable to get an appointment with Dr. Clancy in that time period. Two days ago I went back to work. Today would have been my 3rd day back at work but due to health reasonss, I needed to call out. When I called Dr. Clancy's office, the secretary informed me there was an 11:45am appointment open, but that she would need permission from Dr. Clancy to fill it. Dr. Clancy declined, stating I needed to see my PCP. Mind you, I saw my PCP last Friday, 5 days ago. She will not play with my cardiac medications, nor should she, as she is a family doctor and not a cardiologist. When I was discharged from the hospital, I was told some of the new medications would need to be adjusted by my at home cardiologist, whom is Dr. Clancy. This has not been able to be accomplished because Dr. Clancy has been "too busy" to see a patient who spent a week in the hospital, with four of those days being in the ICU. I have called several times today in an attempt to get to see him, as I have called out of work today, but he has refused to see me, even though he had an open appointment. I thought he had no heart or personality before, but this confirms it. I wish I had listened to my gut initially several years ago and found a new cardiologist. I will be filing a formal complaint with the state.
