Their telephone system needs to be changed desperately. Sometimes it's impossible to get through. What good are doctors if you can get through?
If your time is valuable, this is not the place for you. They send multiple texts prior to ensure that you will be there on time. However, once you check in, they do not have a care in the world for your time. You will wait in the lobby or in the exam room far beyond your appointment time. Then when you ask for updates they say "doctor must be running behind." No apologies or any explanation will be offered. If patients are expected to reply to texts, e-check in, and be on time, then shouldn't the doctors extend the courtesy of respecting the appointment time?
This concerns phone practices of the center. This does not concern Dr. Powell, with whom I get along fine. Of the medical centers that I have to deal with, this one's phone manners are the worse. When they do not hang up after having waited for 15 minutes for them to even pick-up, they tell me that HIPPA does not let them use e-mail for appointments. Since all my other doctors to not have that problem exchanging appointments by e-mail, I guess the staff also is in the habit of giving false answers or they have bad lawyers.
These doctor's office have the worst customer service. No one ever picks up the phone it just rings and rings. No wonder our elderly population are in a sad state in this country. All about profit and not about taking care of actual lives.
