Parthiv Amin, MD

This was my first visit with Dr. Amin. He spent 5 minutes with me, prescribed 3 tests and scheduled a telehealth follow up in a few weeks. I felt very rushed and did not feel that he really cared about me as a new patient. I subsequently received a phone call from the office telling me that Dr. Amin would be on vacation the week of my scheduled appointment and that I would have to wait at least 2 months for the follow up as he is fully booked for 2-3 months out. As an 80 year old female with questionable heart issues, I find this unsatisfactory. I called the office and requested to speak to a supervisor who then "squeezed" me in for an appointment with another Cardiologist for next week. I hope to have a better experience with the next Doctor. I had been using a Cardiologist at CMI who I was very happy with but he left this practice last year to join a different medical group. This is the first negative review I have ever left for any doctor or any business. I have always left only positive reviews, but I felt the need to share my experience.

Dr Amin and staff were as usual pleasant, professional and thorough during this my most recent visit. I have continued the regiment learned during their Cardiac Rehab Program with continued success! Thank you, Dan

The doctor, stress tester, nurse, and Echo tech were all great! Very kind, helpful, efficient, pleasant and professional. The receptionist(s) who checked me in was friendly and helpful. The reason for the 2 star review was for the office worker at the other computer behind the receptionist. When I walked in the door and stood behind another patient checking-in or out; The office worker stared in my face but said nothing. No "Hello.", No "Good-morning.", No "Are you being helped?" No NOTHING. When the receptionist was finished with the person ahead of me, I stepped up to be checked-in. A man came in the door as soon as I began to check in when the same office worker greeted him IMMEDIATELY. Hello sir! Good morning, How may I help you? She began speaking to him in Spanish and assisted him with the utmost urgency and professionalism. I felt dismissed, ignored, and discriminated against. Why would she stare me down as an acknowledgement of my presence instead of engaging in a professional dialogue the way she did the man who walked in behind me. People who behave in this manner should not be representatives for any company especially as the first point of contact for any customer or patient. This employee's behavior subtracted the 3 stars the Doctor and nurses earned for their professionalism.

Dr. Amin was very friendly, personable, and professional. He was able to provide valuable information regarding my situation. He did not rush me and he made sure to answer my many questions. I felt confident I was provided the information needed without concerns. Would definitely recommend Dr. Amin.

Good doctors but terrible business people. I specifically asked if I owed them money at my last visit, in which they replied "No". Then they sent a bill for $40.23 to a collection agency without ever sending me a bill. This is what happens when you deal with arrogant doctors who have no common sense. Who knows how many thousands of dollars they could have raked in from my insurance company? Instead, they chose to send a measly $40 bill to a collection agency. Now I'll never go back.
