Optum Internal Medicine - Secaucus

This practice has definitely changed. I've been with the same pediatricians office since my 29 year-old was five ever since Dr. Anam passed. The place has gone to crap Don't get me wrong. There are still really good doctors within the company, but the service will never be the same. I'm definitely having to change pediatricians now because now they're forcing you to change your insurance because that's the only insurance they accept and no one else will accept it.

Terrible experience. I checked in at the kiosk and told the front desk (Jocelyn) the kiosk said to finish check-in at the front, who said okay they would call me. I waited over 40 minutes with my 5-year-old trying to be understanding that doctor offices can be busy, before approaching the same women at the front desk and now being told I also needed to sign a paper -- something she never mentioned. No apology, no accountability, just "put your name on the paper." I asked her why wasn't I informed of this before when I told her I logged in on the kiosk No explanation ,No sympathy. My son missed school and I was extremely late to work for nothing. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Management needs to address this. Appointment time 10:15 leaving with out seeing a doctor 11:45

So done with this new Optum office. Literally been bringing my son here since he was 2 and suddenly there's new rules that never existed before, the office refuses to release his complete medical record, so many issues I've had since Optum has taken over. Officially removing my son from the care of these doctors. Can't honor their appointment times, will will have you in the waiting room 2+ hours even if you have an appointment then only to be seen for 5 mins by a doctor who doesn't even read the chart and one that you've likely never met before because of the revolving door of physicians. They seem to book dozens of patients at the same time for the same doctor. I find the staff is unhelpful and unwilling to help. Deadlines needed for your children will not be met. No urgency on their end whatsoever. I cannot express enough my disappointment and total fury with the LACK of care Optum exhibits for their patients.

I don't have a complaint about this location. Doctors, nurses, registry personally all were nice and respectful. I had appointment, didn't have wait for long, was assisted fast. Ladies at the registry are always polite whether coming in person or over the phone. So, I'm happy with this location And they are open till 10 pm every day

There's a very good work attempting to be accomplished here and staff are to be commended for that, but the teams in this office need some training in workflow and efficiency. The facilities are below acceptable and not indicative of a well cared for establishment; is it a lack of funding or a lack of care? I don't know. More needs to be done in order to make visitors and patients feel as if they're in good hands.
