I came with my fiance for his appointment and the women who took him in would not let me come with him even though he stated that he wanted me present. The women claimed "there was too much going on for that." I have never been to an office who does not allow a person to have someone else present when they specifically request to have someone else present for their appointment. A little while later the person sitting next to me was called in and he was allowed to have his brother present with him and the nurse who took him in had no problem with it. I think if it's going to be a "rule" that no extra people are allowed present for the appointment, then it needs to be a rule all around not just specific to the nurse you get.
