Dr Tiyyagura, part of HVA Medical Group, has been in practice in New Jersey since 2009. He is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, in New York. He received his MD from Jefferson Medical College, in Philadelphia, and did his internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He completed his specialty training in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr Tiyyagura is active in teaching medical residents and cardiology fellows. He specializes in all aspects of cardiac electrophysiology, including the treatment of atrial fibrillation and heart failure.

Dr. Tiyyagura is one of few electro physiologists I would recommend. First and foremost, he is excellent at what he does. He is competent, thorough, and will go to such lengths to explain and educate patients on their conditions. I had been to a few cardiologists prior to Dr. Tiyyagura, whom did not exemplify such characteristics and it was discerning. Dr.Tiyyagura truly stood out to me because of his passion for the profession and his distinct attention for detail. I had a procedure done by Dr. Tiyyagura and would not have gone through with it if it had to be done with another doctor. He is a highly skilled cardiologist and surgeon and I highly recommend him.
