I finally have a cardiologist I have a good rapport with, and has been excellent. Now I'm having issues, called in 4/11/25 and am told she's leaving in June AND NOT SEEING HER ESTABLISHED PATIENTS ANYMORE. No notice given, don't know who is going to handle my meds NOTHING. SO UNPROFESSIONAL

Honestly, I will only be continuing to come here until I find a new cardiologist. Dr.Collins is wonderful, but the staff is not. I was put on a heart monitor about a month ago. About a week after being put on this monitor I was hospitalized and diagnosed with a heart condition. The hospital told me to follow up with my cardiologist asap. I have been trying to get in touch with a nurse for 2 weeks now, and have not been able to. I made an appointment with Dr. Collins to follow up on this, and the office cancelled my appointment because they had not received my heart monitor back. If the office had listened to my messages, returned my calls, or paid attention to the message I sent in the patient portal they would have known this. It's also very crazy the way a lot of the patient access navigators speak to you, like they're doing you a favor. I'm not sure who works here, but I have never been so disappointed in healthcare in my life. Not to mention I've been out on disability because of this illness, and can't even get in touch with a nurse or doctor.

Atlanticare Cardiology is the absolute WORST. I have called the office twice this week due to being denied a test but my insurance company. I explained that I needed a call back due to the fact that this test denial is holding up my being cleared for another test. I wanted to know what Dr. Elanhal recommended. I'm still waiting for a call back. They should be ashamed of themselves for not getting back to patients in a timely manner. I will definitely be looking for a new doctor.

I was looking to be established as a new patient with cardiology. I was scheduled with Vineet Meghrajani in Egg Harbor twp.. I'm not even putting Dr because he shouldn't be one! He came in my room while the nurse was trying to finish taking my blood pressure and proceeds to start asking me questions while I have the cuff inflating on me, and when I said wait a minute, he stands there tapping his leg/foot, very impatiently. When my pressure was done, he asks me why I was there, was I having chest pains, fluttering, etc. I told him I was there as a new patient to establish with Atlanticare. I told him of a separate issue I was having and he immediately told me that my problem was my weight and asked me if I would like to see someone about gastric sleeve surgery. This so called Dr never even touched me, he DID NOT even listen to my heart with a stethoscope, he didn't even have one with him for that matter. He was in the office with me for a total of 5 minutes. He never even looked at the computer for my history with other Atlanticare doctors or medication list. I had to get my meds list for him out of MY purse! He did not listen, he over talked me, making me feel like I was doing nothing but wasting his time. When I went to check out the woman at the desk said, did you see the doctor already, I said well he came in, insulted me and left. Then she apologized for HIM, went to speak with him, came back and asked me if I would like to see someone else. I said YES PLEASE! So, if you want to be treated by a Dr who cares, listens and is welcoming, DO NOT SEE VINEET MEGHRAJANI... he is a disgrace to Atlanticare and the medical industry.

Atlanticare Cardiology, specifically Dr. Vankawala, failed to provide me with the care that I need. At 31 years of age, I had two episodes of Afib out of nowhere. The first occurred while walking up a flight of stairs, and the second occurred while doing yoga.
After the first episode, Dr. Vankawala and Rebecca Raymond came up with the conclusion that it was due to caffeine. Admittedly, I had an excess amount of caffeine that particular day. After that, I significantly cut my caffeine down to less than 50mg a day (a cup of coffee is 100mg for reference).
Even after cutting down my caffeine intake, I still went into Afib two weeks later. So, Caffeine was obviously not the trigger. Dr. Vankawala basically told me it's just something that I have to live with and that an ablation or medication (that makes my already low heart rate even lower and causes drowsiness) were my only options. He then sent me to Atlanticare's electrophysiologist who reiterated what Dr. Vankawala said (To the electrophysiologist's credit, he did listen to my concerns and expressed empathy unlike Dr. Vankawala who was dismissive).
A few weeks later, I went to get a second opinion at another Cardiologist office outside of Atlanticare's system. This new cardiologist sat with me for an hour listening to everything that happened and all my concerns. He then ordered a plethora of different tests and swore that he was going to find out why exactly this occurred and how to treat it properly.
Atlanticare cardiology jumped to the conclusion that caffeine was the cause of my afib when it obviously was not. I had to suffer another episode even after significantly cutting caffeine when I should have been warned that it could happen again. They dismissed any of my concerns about living my daily life. I don't want to have to constantly worry about going into afib after lightly exerting myself, sit for an hour while your heart rate is 180bpm, and then be drowsy for the rest of the day due to the meds. Atlanticare cardiology did not seem to care about any of that. My advice, try to see a cardiologist that listens to you and gives you the best care.
Update: the cause of my afib was episodes of esophagitis. If I control my reflux, I don't go into afib or have palpitations. I now run long distances while consuming moderate caffeine and have not had any issues since. And Atlanticare wanted me to get an ablation
