I recently had an office visit with Dr. Faiz Bhora at his location in Edison. I'm an APRN (advanced practice nurse) with over 45 years of clinical practice/education experience. I'm very VERY picky with providers that I choose for my own healthcare. This was an excellent visit and I was so pleased with Dr. Bhora. He is very knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. The staff were all very nice. The office was clean. I was SO happy with this visit. My husband is also a health professional and he was very impressed with Dr. Bhora and pleased with the visit. If I need a procedure, this is the surgeon I will choose. We will recommend this surgeon to our patients, clinical colleagues, family, and friends. Dr. Faiz Bhora worked with Dr. Robert Lebovics to help me with a rare respiratory disease that is terminal. Prior to meeting with the Doctors I believed that RP and RA were not only unexplained and misunderstood but misdiagnosed. Dr. Bhora used cryotherapy and ballooning to open up my three main bronchi. My life has a different perspective since having surgery with these wonderfully educated and compassionate doctors. I think they work fantastic as a team, and even though I can't say they gave me my life back; they gave me back a quality of life that is manageable. They are able to continue this surgery until my body finally stops responding. I do believe that they infused hope in me with the surgery that I could join a research program at the University of Pennsylvania where both Lebovics and Bhora are considered modern day medical pioneers of a rare disease: Relapsing Polychondritis. The Doctors both have exceptional bedside manner and genuinely care for all of their patients. They made me feel very comfortable and confident that we would meet again after surgery; and life, as I breathe it, would be vastly different. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Bhora and Dr. Lebovics for anyone needing help choosing the best doctor for the job. Both doctors are not only qualified but spoken of highly as qualified professionals in surgical procedures by the Perelman Center for Relapsing Polychondritis. I couldn't be happier with my meetings and experiences and surgeries with this wonderful team at Hackensack Meridian Hospital. Dr. Bhora is the head of all Surgery and a wonderful, dedicated and caring person. What more could anyone want in a surgeon, and better yet, they collaborate beautifully together and I am forever grateful to them for being on my team of Doctors for the duration of my life. Dr. Bhora operated on my mother about two years ago. He was excellent then and he's been great with follow-ups as well. He's very mild mannered but confident and knowledgeable. We were very happy with him and his office.

I had the privilege of being under the care of Dr. Bhora for a wedge resection on my lung, and I could not have asked for a more competent, compassionate and reassuring surgeon. What began as a clinical relation deeply evolved into a deeper connection discovering our shared roots through the Aga Khan University. This gave me immediate sense of trust and comfort. That connection went beyond words and grounded me during a time that could have otherwise felt overwhelming. He took the time to speak to my family members and reassure them. He ensured I understood the procedure, risks, and recovery path and made me feel more than just a patient. Equally commendable was the team at the Air and Lung Center at JFK hospital. Their care was consistent and of the highest standard. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Bhora and the team. Dr Bhora came highly recommended from a few different people...so when my mom needed a lung biopsy it was evident that we needed a consultation with him. The staff was absolutely amazing. His team is top notch. Upon our first visit with Doc we knew it had to be him to preform the surgery. Extremely knowledgeable and professional as he has been doing this for many years. He is also just a nice person to be around. You immediately feel like you are in great hands. Sometimes you just meet someone and know they are good person..and thats Dr. Bhora. Don't bother looking elsewhere...he is your guy. Trust me...I did all the research.
