Rakesh Sahni, M.D.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Rakesh Sahni and it was a wonderful experience. My appointment was moved up without a problem after a trip to the ER which I greatly appreciated. Dr. Sahni is very personable as well as thorough. He has a very calming effect. Explained all the tests in detail that I would require. Nursing staff as well as front desk pleasant throughout my appointment and scheduling for future appointments.

Dr. Sahni was the worst doctor and office experience I ever had. I went 3 times and she was so focused on my weight and she didn't even know what was wrong with me. After asking her to please treat me like she would a thin patient, she continued at the 2nd and 3rd visit to the point where I wish I would have walked out. She tried to get me to take a weight loss drug even though I can't because of other medical issues and because that's not why I was there. She rushed me through all of my appointments. I waited an hour for my last appointment with her in a waiting room that smelled and was packed with other patients. I witnessed someone working at the front desk being so sick she could barely talk and open her eyes then hang papers back and forth to elderly patients. Then when I got my after visit summary, what the doctor said I reported wasn't even accurate. Dr. Sahni may have been a good doctor in the past, but somewhere along the line she stopped looking at updated research and obviously was more interested in the revolving door. I'm an educated person but the way she spoke to me about how I wanted to be treated was as if she thought she knew better. I decided to switch doctors and I'm so much happier. If you don't want to be shamed about your body and you want someone to address the issues you are going to the doctor for, don't go to her. A message for Dr. Sahni....start looking at the recent research that's been out for the past 10 years and stop relying on the outdated research you learned about in school. You are doing more harm than good to people who need treatment.

I was referred to Dr. Sahni between 10 and 15 years ago by my primary physician. Through the years I've learned the importance of his specialty in my everyday life. I consider myself fortunate to be a patient with thorough understanding of what my heart health status is and to be prepared to follow any necessary instructions to maintain a healthy heart in the possible future. I'm quite thankful to be his patient

Staff was very co-ordinate & helpful. Waiting time was little long but comfortable. Dr.Shani is the best.He gave us full time and made sure we understood everything. Further test appointment times were scheduled as per our needs. Excellent experience.
