Just moved to Reno. Needed new cardiologist. Was referred to this group and saw Dr. Abu. He found new problems with my heart and ordered tests and scheduled appointment for three months from the tests. Test results were very concerning so I tried to get concerns answered via MyChart. No answer. Tried again. No answer. Although I am concerned all I wanted to hear was that there was no reason to be seen sooner than 3 months and I would have been at ease, but no answers is not acceptable. Canceled future appt and will go to another group and start over. Probably Renown. I do not recommend St. Mary's cardiology or the hospital for medical help.

Cardiology experience: they had a random Doctor Napal, repeating words of discourage to whoever patient he has in front of him. Every question the family asks he didn't have an idea of what to recommend. I know that "professionals" with no experience need to learn some where, but nobody should have a "Dr" without experience seeing a family member. Have him working as a nurse or a Cardiologist assistant for 2 years. Unbelievable. Come on Saint Mary's you have tons of awards for best cardiology area, hire better than what you have.

My mother was brought in with a dislocated shoulder last Friday. She is 97 and in a independent living facility. She requested a COVID 19 test before leaving. The protocol at the 5 Star demands a test or she is required to endure a 14 day lock down. I requested the test and they told me they would call 5 Star and comply with their rules. I even gave them the phone number. Nothing was done. She was then kept overnight in room 352. The bell to the nurses station was imperative. She was released at about 11:30 by the doctor but it took until 3pm before anything was done. This is bye far a traumatic experience. There was absolutely no competent people. .

St Mary's patient care is fine. Their accounting/billing system needs an overhaul. Paid a bill in full. Received a threatening collections notice. Tried to look up the balance on line and the system was down. Wasted a ridiculous time on hold over 2 days trying to get through only to be told the error was theirs - no kidding. The "apology" sounded well rehearsed.

My husband had knee surgery this morning. The level of kindness, organization, professionalism and communication was incredible! Thank Dr. Kalisvaart, Shawn our preop nurse, Tan or anesthesiologist, big guy our OR nurse ( forgot your name sorry) and Ronda our post-op nurse. You made this experience a lot less stressful!!
