Kathleen Benson, MD

Dr. Kathleen Benson had been my wife's cardiologist for over a decade. She is absolutely ... as others have mentioned ... the most CARING and dedicated doctor we've ever been to. Yes, often you wait too long past your appointed time. However, read the reviews that mention how attentive she is to you, and truly listens! So my take is that is the reason for the waits, and that they have more patients than there is time for. Dr. Singh is great as well. And, when they are called away for surgery ~ they do it! It is not a ruse to avoid taking scheduled appointments. Just be glad that if you have an emergency and need surgery, they will come to the hospital to save your life! Their other non-emergency patients must wait. I want a doctor like that ... and I DO ... now that Drs Benson & Singh are my cardiologists as well having been my wife's for all those years. My guess is that many of the poor reviews are from a poor patient with not enough patience and understanding. So, BRAVO, Dr Benson & Dr Singh -- keep on doing what you're doing ... our lives depend on it, on your expertise and professionalism!!!

STAY AWAY Had an emergency appointment on 05/16/23, post Sunrise ER- severe CT extravasation injury. I came for help with chest pains and shortness of breath. She, along with Ram Singh cancelled it on the spot, insted- slid a separation letter for me to sign, lying, that it was a signature "for my med. records",needed for Thoracic surgeon in UTA, as she is "siding with those who falcified my medical records (Dr.Pham and thoracic surg-Neuman Jahangir), who infected me with Sepsis during open heart surgery 1.5 years ago.I can not heal since that deadly infection.Not one day In 1.5 years was OK She said, that she knows nothing about heart related Sepsis and continued to misdiagnose me and neglect proper care (Catheterisation. See attachment). She sent me to five cardiologists and all of them neglected me catheterisation. They lied that DR.Ram Singh (her office partner)does not perform Catheterisation himself (HE DOES. ALL THE TIME). She neglected me proper care and threw a letter of separation instead of emergency appointment,post extravasation poisoning at one of her hospitals-Sunrise. I finally filed a grievance post that poisoning(med.records are also falcified at Sunrise and she was angry when I came in as she knew, that I was in ER and filed grievance, after being threatened another legal hold, as I asked for Parathyroid gland blood work due to Hypercalcemia, post that extravasation in the same ER. She called me post office "dumping", lol. I asked: "Why did u lie, that Ram Singh is not doing cath himself and sent me to 5 of ur doctors that told me: "to go to the gym", knowing, that I was taken from ur treadmill only 5 minutes into stress test? My BP was- 186/126 and u gave me a chemical instead? She said: "I needed a second opinion and YOU ARE NOW WAY TOO SICK WITH EXTRAVASATION ANYWAY for him to do it". What was they thinking for 6 months, prior to extravasation- neglecting me cath, pretty much waiting for me "to expire", as I endured a lot of hospital abuse/dumping-post hidden Sepsis infection of my heart. Very neurotic doctor, who denies what she said before, neglects proper care and uses a lot of lies(she said that I will benefit from a heart transplant as it looks bad), later stated that she never said it. Dr.Benson is one of those unethical doctors, who knows about "DUMPING" and ABUSE I endured from Valley Health Group, yet-"Dumps" me, while using neglect, lies and ongoing misdiagnosis. We trust cardiologists with our lives. Money is all they care about. She is rude, short tempered and does not listen at all. Just storms out of the office. She pretends that she does not understand what Septic infection during open heart surgery does to my heart. She DUMPS you,when you need her the most. CATH-life saving procedure was neglected to me by her office partner-Ram Singh and five doctors. ALL-siding with my surgeon-Jahangir, who is now in malpractice #3 if not 4. And infected me with Sepsis of the heart. Very tight and discriminating community of cardiologists and thoracic surgeons in LV. Illegal and unethical actions. She just LEFT ME- TO DIE (see my diagnosis in attachment, its 1.5 years,post Sepsis infection during open heart surgery. My horror story is now reported for Investigation post Large oral dose of LIDOCAINE poisoning at her hospital - SINRISE. I am very sick, post that poisoning, but all SUNRISE hospital records were FORGED, AS USUAL. PD will b looking into investigation as well as video surveillance team, that was contacted. Now-her office is hanging up when I call instead of finding me a replacement cardiologist( per Hippa laws). This is something, I never thought even existed in the field of "Helping others". I hold a Doctorate in Psychology from LA. Horrid. Inhumane.

Doctor Benson's personality is amazing. She is kind, caring, and seems generally interested in her work. When I get to see her, I know I'm getting the best service. I have been going to see her for three now for an issue that seems to be still a mystery but that's life. As far as I am concerned, five stars. Staff at her office is my favorite staff too since they all seem to know what they are doing. Beatrix is great too, kind and knowledgeable.

Had to move to Washington to get good medical care. I was told I was ok...they couldn't find anything wrong ... but I couldn't breath or walk 5 ft without collapsing. Washington Drs discovered my heart valves were functioning at only 20%. They did not expect me to survive, but I'm still here! Every time I went to an appt I waited 1 1/2 - 2 hrs... & even after waiting I was told she had to leave & I would have to reschedule. My body was convulsing & she paid no attention to it. Her nurse brought it to her attention while I was there & she didn't even turn her head to look at me! Ended up being severe low potassium from the diuretics I was taking ... retaining so much water because my heart valves were not working!! Horrible experience! Please stay away from her!

Dr.Benson is a fine doctor. However, the staff does not know what they are doing and are very unorganized. They have cost my husband a job as no one looked at "conformation" form on a fax that they sent to the employer that did not go through. My husband was on the same medications without review for several years. They have sent appointment conformation texts several hours after the appointment, that they scheduled without letting us know prior. This has happened twice. The wait time for the office is usually several hours to be seen.
