Dr. Leonard Parilak

I survived Covid January 2021because of Dr. Leonard Parilak!! I was discharged Tuesday, seen by visiting nurse at home and found out had fluids in lungs! I called Dr Parilak that night and Dr Parilak called back, ordered lasix and if I didn't improve, has to return to hospital!! I was fine and seen him at his office the following Monday!! With oxygen on, walking with walker, echocardiogram was done and Dr. Parilak told me "I was improperly discharged "! I'm ok and stable now because of Dr. Leonard Parilak!! He saved my life!! And will recommend to all who needs cardiologist!!

The doctor is empathetic and has good bedside manners. He tends to be thorough within what your insurance would allow him. He called me with the results of my exam and was quite detailed using simple method of explanation that I would understand in opposite of medical terms. So far so good . His staff is also kind and nice.

Dr. Parilak was thorough, incredibly explanatory, and kind. My brother was in his 30's, and seeing every physician for every condition you could imagine, trying to diagnose an unknown problem. After being in AFIB, we were sent to a cardiologist. Dr. Parilak was our 3rd and final cardiologist. (My brother was very finicky about his doctor's), appointments were made within days, and he did a fantastic job.

My wife had an appointment and received a call from his office a few days before asking her to move her appointment up by 10 minutes. She called and acknowledged that she would be there 10 minutes earlier per their request. When she did show up she was attended to and brought to a waiting room where she sat for 53 minutes without anyone even checking in on her or advising her of any delays. When Parilak did finally showed up she mentioned that she thought they had forgotten about her. He checked and confirmed that it was indeed 53 minutes which according to him was considered acceptable as his measure of promptness was 60 minutes so he was well within in his goal. He also mentioned that there were many cardiologists and that my wife can find someone else if she was not happy with his stand. I can't believe a medical professional with this kind of attitude actually received a couple of 4 star reviews. She will definitely be looking for someone else.

I have been a patient of Dr. Parilak for ten years now. He has always treated me with respect and listened to my concerns. He has gone out of his way to work with me when my insurance changes. His staff has also been friendly and professional every time I have spoken to them. I cannot truthfully thank him enough. I highly recommend his as a cardiologist.
